This research paper aims to critically review the state of spiritual journalism in India. Spiritual journalism is a niche form of journalism that focuses on exploring and reporting on spiritual and religious topics, practices, and perspectives. In India, a country with a rich spiritual heritage and diverse religious traditions, spiritual journalism plays a significant role in shaping public discourse and understanding of spirituality. This paper examines the strengths and weaknesses of spiritual journalism in India, exploring its impact on society, its challenges, and the ethical considerations associated with its practice. By providing a critical analysis of the current state of spiritual journalism in India, this paper aims to shed light on its role, relevance, and potential for improvement.

Holistic care in the nursing care consists of physical, psychological, socio-cultural, developmental and spiritual aspects. However, the spiritual has received less attention than the other four aspects. The aim of this study was to review paper related to spiritual care in nursing care practices. The method in this study is a review using the CINAHL database. CINAHL was used because the articles focus on nursing topics. The keywords used were "Spirituality" OR "Spiritual care" OR "Spiritual" AND "Nurse". The inclusion criteria for the article were English language and published from 2019-2021, for adult range between 18-44 years old. Exclusion criteria were article not in English language, not full paper article, not in Human and not psychometric study also master thesis. This study recorded 64 articles, screened according to the topic, then the final results recorded 19 articles. This article focuses on the use of spiritual care in patients, nurses and caregivers, as well as both of patients and caregivers. The results of the review showed that spiritual care was important for mental health, physical health, and well-being, quality of life, increasing expectations for patients, nurses or caregivers. The significance of the study was spiritual care should be addressed in nursing care practices and it must include in the nursing curriculum, because spiritual care has many benefits for patients and nurses.

Spiritual security should be a priority in our modern globalized society. Therefore, the study provides convincing evidence that it is important to develop a theoretical understanding of spiritual security. Several theoretical concerns regarding the establishment and maintenance of spiritual security are addressed in the article. He explores many ideas that are interrelated, including spiritual security, worldview, and spirituality. To ensure spiritual security, a practical analysis is carried out of the need to carry out various measures that strengthen the spiritual health of society.The article explains the methodology used in spiritual Security Investigations. According to the author, different levels of spiritual security can be analyzed using a structural-logical model and a dialectical method of cognition. Comparative analysis is also seen as a valuable tool. Spiritual intelligence is essential to overcome barriers, manage change, and ensure personal security and its impact on relationships. The process begins with introspection and evaluation, concluding with the ability to assess and understand the environment. By analyzing and understanding natural phenomena, it is possible to develop a sense of reality and a deeper appreciation of the nature of human existence. A person can feel spiritually safe if he adheres to his moral and spiritual beliefs and complies with the norms of society. It contains such things as worldview, social behavior, culture, research and social development. By expanding the spiritual point of view, the danger to the spiritual security of a person can be reduced.

Depression is one of the most prevalent mental disorders worldwide. This study examined the effect of a spiritual connectivity intervention on individuals with depression in a randomized waitlist control trial. Fifty-seven participants with mild or moderate depressive symptoms were randomly assigned to either the intervention group (n=28) or the waitlist control group (n=29). The intervention comprised eight weekly sessions focusing on divine connection, forgiveness and freedom, suffering and transcendence, hope, gratitude, and relapse prevention. The outcome measures included depressive symptoms, anxiety, hope, meaning in life, self-esteem, and social support. Participants completed self-administered questionnaires at baseline (week 0), post-intervention (week 8), and at a 3-month follow-up (week 20). Repeated-measures ANOVA and one-way ANCOVA were used to compare the within-group and between-group differences in the changes in outcome variables. Participants in the intervention group showed significant improvements in depression, anxiety, spiritual experience, hope, self-esteem, and perceived social support after the intervention. Effect size statistics showed small to large differences (Cohen’s d, 0.308 to -1.452). Moreover, 85.71% of participants in the intervention group also experienced clinically significant reductions in PHQ-9 scores from baseline to immediate post-intervention. This study highlights the effectiveness of a low-cost, accessible intervention suitable for community implementation by clergy and faith-based organizations.

Since the works of Zohar, the concept of spiritual intelligence has been at the center of scientific debates, but exegetical and philological, and other studies have revealed that this concept is not new (Zinsstag, 2010; Moleka, 2021a). The Bible speaks about it with Hebrew words (hokhmah, binah) and Greek words (phronesis, sunesis, noûs, and sophia). In this essay, we examine spiritual intelligence from a philosophical standpoint and discuss some ramifications, such as ethos.

Background and Aim: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is known as an autoimmune disease and a chronic inflammatory condition, inducing a wide variety of mood affective disorders, including depression and feelings of hopelessness in many aspects of patients’ quality of life (QoL). In view of the positive side effects of spirituality and spiritual care on finding appropriate strategies for further adaptation, this study aimed to determine the impact of group spiritual care (GSC) on levels of hope in patients suffering from MS. Materials and Methods: This clinical trial was conducted on a total number of 96 patients with MS, referring to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) in the city of Zahedan, Iran. Following sample selection via the convenience sampling technique, the patients meeting the inclusion criteria were randomized into two groups, i.e., intervention and control. The data collection tools for this purpose included a demographic information form and the Adult Hope Scale (AHS, Snyder et al. 1991), completed by the subjects at the pre- and post-intervention stages. As well, the intervention group received five sessions of GSC during three weeks but the control group members only talked over daily issues along with their mental health problems. The data were also analyzed using the SPSS Statistics software (ver. 14). Results: The Kruskal-Wallis test results revealed that the GSC intervention could have a significant positive effect on raising hope in the patients with MS (p<0.001). Moreover, a significant growth was observed in the scores of hope dimensions including agency and pathway (p<0.001). Conclusion: GSC can effectively boost levels of hope in patients suffering from MS in all dimensions. Therefore, it is recommended to utilize this type of care in order to nurture hope in such individuals.

Background: Chronic disease is the leading cause of death and disability in children. Various complex stressors faced by children due to illness and a series of treatments can negatively impact children's welfare, which can negatively affect children's quality of life.Objectives: This literature aims to study the philosophy of spiritual-based care interventions to improve the quality of life of children with chronic diseases viewed from three philosophical perspectives, namely ontology, epistemology, and axiology.Methods: A literature search was performed on five databases, namely SCOPUS, PubMed, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, and SAGEPub. Population limitations and diagnoses in this literature of children with chronic disease. This research is a quantitative study focusing on publications between 2017-2021.Results: The philosophy of spiritual care intervention is humanistic, pragmatic, and religious intervention. Humanistic interventions are interventions in which nurses are actively involved in spiritual care. Pragmatic intervention is the activeness of a nurse in assessing the spiritual needs of patients. Meanwhile, religious intervention is an intervention that is directly related to the practice or ritual of a specific belief system. Spiritual care is an essential part of holistic care, which is considered an indicator of improving the quality of care. It will ultimately affect the optimal quality of life of children.Conclusion: Spiritual-based care interventions are essential to improve the quality of life of children with chronic diseases. Spiritual care given to children with chronic illnesses must consider all aspects such as developmental stage, life experience, and socio-cultural of the child.

Decision-making using evidence-based practice (EBP) is generally universally accepted by nurses. Such acceptance may affect the personnel’s behaviour towards patients, which is also demonstrated by taking into consideration the patient’s preferences, including the patient’s spiritual needs, in the care plan. The provision of such care requires the development of an attitude of approval and an adequate level of communicative competence, which will enable the actual implementation of the EBP. The purpose of our study was to assess the perception of spirituality and the nurse’s role in providing spiritual care, as well as the perception of the significance of communication skills in the approval of EBP in professional practice. A multi-centre cross-section study was conducted on a population of 1176 participants (459 undergraduate (Bachelor programme, BP) and 717 postgraduate students (Master programme, MP)) from 10 medical universities in Poland. Three tools were used in the study to evaluate the participants’ approach: Evidence-Based Practice Competence Questionnaire (EBP-COQ), The Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale (SSCRS), and Communication Skills Attitude Scale (CSAS). Structural equation modelling was used for the analysis. An analysis of structural equations revealed the presence of positive relationships of the attitude to spiritual care and the role of communicative competences with the approach to EBP regardless of the cohort. A significant difference was found related to the influence of age on the attitude toward learning communicative competences. The approval in this respect was observed to decrease with age in the MP group. Increasing approval of EBP requires strengthening the approach to activity-centred spiritual care, with the simultaneous development of a positive attitude towards learning communicative competences. The model reveals the need to integrate a humanistic approach with EBP, which can be achieved by planning different interventions in different groups of recipients: nurses, academic teachers and students.

Abstract Purpose – The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of spiritual leadership on knowledge hiding behavior of employees in agriculture research institutes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The study also aims to analyze theoretically and then investigate empirical evidence concerning the mediation pathway (namely, professional commitment) to clarify the significant association amid spiritual leadership and subordinate's knowledge hiding behavior. Design/methodology- The cross-sectional data using five point lickert scale was used in this survey based study to investigate the given hypotheses. In order to account for the prim effect and any potential for common method bias, data was gathered at two different time points with a gap of four weeks. Smart PLS4 was used to assess a sample of 298 complete and valid responses for hypotheses testing. Findings – The results show that spiritual leadership impacts negatively the employees’ knowledge hiding behavior. Moreover, this relationship is mediated by professional commitment. Originality/value – First, in contrast to the majority of past studies that concentrated on antecedents of knowledge sharing, the present study examined the impact of spiritual leadership on employee’s knowledge hiding behaviors, which are two opposing concepts. Secondly, the study examined empirically, the mediation effect of professional commitment. These three variables have not been studied together previously.

This Research is to analyze the effect of Intellectual Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Spiritual Quotient (SQ) to the employee performance of Inspectorate South Kalimantan Province. All of The employee are involved as the samples, 81. Data are the perception of the employee regarding the variables. Technique of analysis is using multiple linear regression. Tests involved are Model Test (F), t Test, and classic Assumption test. Significant Test is connected to pvalue. The results show that (1) Intellectual Quotient (IQ) is influencing insignificantly to the employee performance; (2) Emotional Quotient (EQ) is influencing insignificantly to the employee performance; (3) Spiritual Quotie nt (SQ) is influencing significantly to the employee performance. The results also indicate that such effects need further research. Variables should be considered are attitude, operating standar and Technology.

Religious and spiritual struggles are typically assessed by self-report scales using closed-ended items, yet nascent research suggests that using open-ended items may complement and advance assessment. In the current study, undergraduate participants (N = 976) completed open-ended descriptions of their religious and spiritual struggles, the Religious and Spiritual Struggles Scale (RSS), and a standardized measures of religious belief salience. Qualitative coding showed that the themes emerging from open-ended descriptions generally fell within the broad domains of the RSS though some descriptions reflected more contextualized struggles. Scores derived from the open-ended responses to assess RSS domains achieved evidence of reliability as well as convergent and discriminant validity with the RSS . Correlations revealed a mix of similar and divergent associations between methods of assessing religious and spiritual struggles and religious belief salience. Open-ended descriptions of religious and spiritual struggles may yield reliable and valid information that is related to but distinct from assessments relying on closed-ended items.

Long-term care (LTC) settings are increasingly used for palliative care in Japan. This study aimed to assess the proportion of LTC settings that provide palliative care services for older clients with advanced dementia in Japan and the trends across the types of settings. A nationwide questionnaire survey was conducted between November 2022 and January 2023, targeting 1,000 geriatric hospitals (GHs), 1,000 geriatric health services facilities (GHSFs), and 1,000 home nursing care stations (HNCSs). The palliative care practices for older patients with advanced dementia and their families in the agencies were assessed. Less than half of the GHs supported family participation or the spiritual needs of their older clients with dementia, while many had access to pain and symptom assessments and analgesic prescriptions by physicians. Less than half the GHSFs used pain assessment tools, assessed and supported family caregivers' pain and distress, and supported family participation in palliative care. More than 80% of the HNCSs practiced most of the listed palliative care. Current palliative care practices for older adults with dementia vary among GHs, GHSFs, and HNCSs. This emphasizes the need for targeted approaches to improve the provision of palliative care for patients with dementia across LTC settings in Japan.

Several review articles about megachurch studies have been published recently concentrating their work on USA, Europe, and other parts of the world, with just a few references about Latin American megachurches. For that reason, this article aims to identify some of the characteristics of Latin American Evangelical megachurches by looking at relevant literature, especially that produced in the region, in Spanish and Portuguese, which is usually overlooked by researchers in Global North. Since this research field is still limited in Latin America, areas, where further work is necessary, are identified. Three general catalysts for the emergence of megachurches in the region, church growth methodologies, Pentecostalization, and theologies of growth, serve as guides to organize the review process. The discussion shows several potential areas of research in a variety of fields such as theology, ecclesiology, organizational theory, leadership, gender studies, and ethics, are proposed from the review.

In all forms of folk beliefs, ancestor worship is a universal traditional belief form of the Vietnamese people. As a Vietnamese people, “everyone worships their ancestors, everyone worships their parents and grandparent”. Ancestor worship is a common belief in the whole country. It is a belief that expresses the deeply humanistic spirit of the Vietnamese people and has great values in human life. So, what is the nature of ancestor worship? What is the values of ancestor worship in life? And in the context of globalization, how has this the belief changed? This study focuses on analyzing the above contents, thereby highlighting the value of this belief in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people; to point out the positive and negative changes of this belief in the current period; from that, take the right measures to bring into play the positive and limit the negative side of those changes in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people.

This article introduces existential wellbeing (EWB) as one of the most ignored but also the most important kind of wellbeing, especially for people who experience life-limiting diseases and need palliative care (Wong & Yu, 2021). This article will not only review the literature regarding the nature and practice of existential wellbeing in palliative care, but also propose a preliminary Existential Wellbeing Scale. EWB is defined as the quality-of-life characterized by living well and dying well in spite of pain, obstacles, and the shadow of death; wellbeing within the context of human suffering can only be fully understood from the perspective of existential positive psychology (EPP), dedicated to the study of sustainable wellbeing based on the foundation of transcending suffering. The basic tenets of EPP are (1) redefining positivity or wellbeing in terms of seeing and being the light in the darkness; (2) focusing on the dialectical process of navigating an adaptive balance; and (3) re-orienting one’s life attitude from egotism to self-transcendence (Wong, 2023a). More specifically, EWB depends on some combination of the following experiences: (1) Prior experience of overcoming adversity; (2) Existential intelligence (Gardner, 2020) in addressing existential concerns; (3) Existential wisdom of the soul (Wong 2022a; Wong, Ho, et al, 2023a) to achieve existential wellbeing and sustainable flourishing; (4) Spiritual wellbeing based on spiritual values such as faith, hope, and love (Wong, 2023); (5) Knowledge of meaning-focused coping (Eisenbeck et al., 2021); and (6) The new paradigm of self-transcendence (Reed & Haugan, 2021; Wong, Arslan et al., 2021; Wong, Ho et al., 2023b) to transcend and transform suffering into wellbeing and triumph.

Spiritual intelligence had an impact on different biblical leaders, and in this text, we see some cases to serve as a sample (Joseph, Bezalel, and Daniel). In the Bible, this impact is demonstrated in innovations introduced by Joseph in Egypt, Bezalel the manager of the macro project of building in crisis time, Daniel the politician. It is the supreme intelligence and leaders are invited to make a shift from rationality to spirituality. The more leaders of organizations will use spiritual intelligence, the more leaders and followers will experience satisfaction, joy, accomplishment.

Most research on sustainable small-scale, local producer lifestyles emphasises healthy food production, lacking integration of mental and spiritual well-being into a holistic concept of a healthy lifestyle. This study explores the motives behind the production activity of producers engaged in sustainable food production in several Western Hungarian sub-regions, aiming to identify their attitudes and motivations. The small-scale entrepreneurial mindset encompasses needs beyond physical and ethical aspects, such as involvement, socio-cultural attachment to the past, tradition, nature, place, and local culture. An online questionnaire was conducted with 73 local producers in the second quarter of 2024. The results of the factor and cluster analyses were used to classify the producers into two clusters: the "Value-Creator" and the "Proud" clusters. The main features of these two clusters were illustrated in persona profiles. The "Value-Creator" cluster, mainly women, feel a strong connection to the local community and view sustainable production as a lifestyle choice. The "Proud" cluster, consisting of young men, focus on the quality and uniqueness of their products. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of sustainable production by exploring producers' intrinsic motivations and lifestyle choices. The findings could also inform other entrepreneurial projects, such as urban initiatives.
