The effective Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system can improve the reliability, safety and economic benefits of microgrid operation. In this research, the lower central controller and upper WEB monitoring system are connected by the SCADA system which is as the hub of microgrid intelligent monitoring platform. This system contains a set of specific functions programmed by Java as a middleware which can provide control and communication between the central controller and the upper monitoring system. The system realizes the real-time data acquisition and storage, the control instructions parsing and transmitting, the microgrid security and stability, the load balancing and resource recovery of the microgrid. All that functions have been tested and verified in the actual operation.

In recent years, due to their frequent use and widespread use, IoT (Internet of Things) devices have become an attractive target for hackers. As a result of their limited network resources and complex operating systems, they are vulnerable to attacks. Using a honeypot can, therefore, be a very effective way of detecting malicious requests and capturing samples of exploits. The purpose of this article is to introduce honeypots, the rise of IoT devices, and how they can be exploited by attackers. Various honeypot ecosystems will be investigated further for capturing and analyzing information from attacks against these IoT devices. As well as how to leverage proactive strategies in terms of IoT security, it will provide insights on the attack vectors present in most IoT systems, along with understanding attack patterns.

Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems currently monitor and collect a huge among of data from all kind of processes. In practice, due to sensor failures or to communication errors, in the long-time running, some data may be lost. When it happens, given the nature of these failures, information is lost in bursts, that is, sets of consecutive samples, which besides can be very long. Data completion is a critical step, which must be done with the utmost rigour in order to not propagate errors in the rest of the processing chain stages. Some Big Data techniques do not work if the data series are incomplete, due to the loss of some data. When this occurs it is necessary to fill out the gaps of the historical data with a reliable data completion method. This paper presents an ad-hoc method to replenish the data lost by a SCADA system in case of long bursts. The data correspond to levels of drinking water tanks of a Water Network company that present patterns on a daily and a weekly scale. A method based on tensors is used to take advantage of the data structure. A specially designed \textit{tensorization} is employed to deal with bursts of missed data, applying a twice tensor decomposition and a signal continuity correction. Statistical tests are realized, which consist of apply the data reconstruction algorithms, by deliberately removing bursts of data in verified historical database servers, to be able to evaluate the real effectiveness of the tested methods. For this application, the presented approach outperforms the other techniques found in the literature.

Full-scale wind turbine technology has been widely developing in the recent years and condition monitoring techniques assist at the scope of making 100\% technical availability a realistic perspective. In this context, several retrofitting techniques are being used for further improving the efficiency of wind kinetic energy conversion. This kind of interventions is costly and, furthermore, the estimation of the energy enhancement is commonly provided under the hypothesis of ideal conditions, as for example absence of wakes between nearby turbines. A precise quantification of the energy gained by retrofitting is therefore precious in real conditions, that can be very different from ideal ones. In this work, three kinds of retrofitting are studied through the operational data of test case wind farms: improved start-up through pitch angle adjustment near the cut-in, aerodynamic blade retrofitting by means of vortex generators and passive flow control devices, extension of the power curve by raising cut-out and high wind speed cut-in. SCADA data are employed and reliable methods are formulated for estimating the energy improvement from each of the above retrofitting. Further, an insight is provided about wind turbine functioning under very stressing regimes, as for example high wind speeds.

More and more works are using machine learning techniques while adopting supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for wind turbine anomaly or failure detection. While parameter selection is important for modelling a wind turbine’s health condition, only a few papers have been published focusing on this issue and in those papers interconnections among sub-components in a wind turbine are used to address this problem. However, merely the interconnections for decision making sometimes is too general to provide a parameter list considering the differences of each SCADA dataset. In this paper, a method is proposed to provide more detailed suggestions on parameter selection based on mutual information. Moreover, after proving that Copula, a multivariate probability distribution for which the marginal probability distribution of each variable is uniform is capable of simplifying the estimation of mutual information, an empirical copula based mutual information estimation method (ECMI) is introduced for an application. After that, a real SCADA dataset is adopted to test the method, and the results show the effectiveness of the ECMI in providing parameter selection suggestions when physical knowledge is not accurate enough.

Converting natural language into machine language that can be recognized by distributed systems is the core challenge of intelligent interactive interfaces and human-machine dialogue systems. The human-machine interface interaction of large distributed SCADA measurement and control system is tedious and the operation and maintenance cost is high, so it is significant to design an intelligent natural language interaction interface for distributed measurement and control system. In this paper, we design the intermediate language format of SCADA system, i.e., Key-value logic form, and then formulate the Text2SCADA framework and propose the TICS algorithm and SDPA algorithm, the former adopts the keyword extraction and cosine similarity optimization algorithm to complete the structured extraction of natural language for basic natural language instructions, and the latter adopts the keyword extraction and cosine similarity optimization algorithm to complete the structured extraction of natural language for relatively The latter one adopts the algorithm of dependent syntactic analysis for the structured representation of natural language instructions with relatively complex natural language instructions. Based on the above algorithms, a lightweight information extraction model based on DGCNN and probabilistic graph ideas is constructed, aiming to enhance the scientific generalization ability of the framework on unknown instruction sets. The experimental results show that the proposed intelligent natural language interface can better solve the human-machine interface interaction problem of distributed SCADA measurement and control system. The average accuracy, recall and F-value of instruction parsing reach 89.27\%, 89.28\% and 89.27\%, respectively. The average response time is 1.593 s. Especially, it provides a more convenient means of interaction for industrial and agricultural information control.
