Cervical cancer presents a significant global health concern with high-risk human papilloma-viruses (HPVs) being identified as the cause of this cancer. Although current treatment methods for cervical cancer can eliminate lesions, preventing metastatic spread and minimizing tissue damage remains a major challenge. Therefore, the development of a safer and innovative thera-peutic approach is of utmost importance. Natural products like Fig latex, derived from the Ficus Carica tree, have demonstrated promising anti-cancer properties when tested on cervical cancer cell lines. However, the specific mechanisms by which Fig latex exerts its effects are still un-known. In this study, we conducted RNA-seq analysis to explore how Fig latex may counteract carcinogenesis in HPV-positive cervical cancer cell lines, namely CaSki (HPV type 16-positive) and HeLa (HPV type 18-positive). Our data from this investigation indicates that Fig latex influ-ences the expression of genes associated with the development and progression of cervical can-cer, including pathways related to " Nonsense-Mediated Decay (NMD) "cell cycle regulation" and Transcriptional Regulation by TP53. This selective impact of Fig latex on cancer-related pathways suggests a potential novel therapeutic approach for HPV-related cervical cancer.

Cervical carcinogenesis is the leading cause of cancer related death in women and the role of high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) as a possible risk factor in the development of this cancer is well recognised. Despite the availability of multi-therapeutic approaches, there is still a major concern regarding the prevention of metastatic dissemination and excessive tissue injuries. Therefore, it is imperative to develop a safer and more efficient treatment modality. Ficus Carica, a natural plant, has shown potential therapeutic properties through its fruit latex when applied to HPV-positive cervical cancer cell lines. However, the mechanisms of action of Ficus Carica (fig) latex are not well understood. This study aims to provide a deeper insight into the biological activities of fig latex on human cervical cancer cell lines expressing high-risk HPV types 16 and 18. The data obtained from this study reveals that fig latex influences the expression of genes in-volved in "Class I MHC-mediated antigen presentation" as well as "Antigen processing: Ubiquitination and Proteasome degradation." These genes play a crucial role in host immune surveillance and the resolution of infection. Findings from this study suggest that fig latex may enhance T cell responses against oncogenic HPV, which could be beneficial for the clearance of early-stage cancer.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, primarily transmitted through sexual contact, have been linked to various cancers, including cervical, penile, anal, oropharynx, breast, and prostate cancers. This study presents a unique case of concurrent high-risk HPV35, HPV45, and HPV59 infections in both prostate and bladder cancer tissues from a single patient, representing the first documented instance worldwide with identical HPV types detected in two adjacent organs of the same individual. Employing a multiplex-PCR approach, gel electrophoresis, and Sanger sequencing, we confirmed the presence of these high-risk HPV types. Additionally, Western blot analysis using an HPV E7 antibody demonstrated the active expression of HPV oncoproteins in both cancer types. This discovery underscores the potential for HPV intra-organ transmission and necessitates further exploration of alternative transmission routes. The implications of our results offer new insights into the complex dynamics of HPV transmission in cancer pathogenesis.

Porter's diamond model was used because it is an index in the field of competitiveness and increasing the index of competition in the international arena. In order to measure actions in the field of commerce and marketing trends and its compliance with Porter's diamond model, an organization named Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture was selected from among the existing non-governmental organizations in Iran. This non-governmental organization, having different departments has members and subgroups related and influential in the field of commerce and marketing. In order to answer the question raised in this research, that is, to determine the position of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture in Porter's diamond model, by referring to this organization in person, the available documents, information and data available in a descriptive-survey manner. It was reviewed until October 2022. All key activities and works performed in this organization in the period from March 2019 to March 2022 were identified and separated according to the internal factors of Porter's Diamond model. Finally, the credibility and effectiveness of this non-governmental organization as a link between the private sector and the government was measured in the Porter's diamond model.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancers account for a large percentage of cancers. The tumor microenvironment (TME) is a complex structure and contributes significantly to tumor development, progression, and invasion. The TME is particularly pronounced in HPV-related cancers and HPV is known to influence the TME. In cancer research, there is an urgent need for new models to deepen our understanding of the pathophysiology of the disease and to facilitate the development of innovative therapies. In this context, 3D cell culture has emerged as a promising method in cancer research, that offers significant potential compared to conventional approaches. 3D modelling can produce results that are more consistent with clinical outcomes without the ethical concerns and problems of animal models. In this review, our aim is to discuss the tumor microenvironment in HPV-related cancers and demonstrate the importance of advancing 3D cell culture models for this purpose.

It has been shown that Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is associated with several forms of cancer. Additionally, although there are more than 100 types of HPV, more than ten types of it, including types 16 and 18, are considered high-risk. The two proteins that make up the viral capsid of HPV 16 are L1, the major capsid protein, and L2, the minor capsid protein. FDA (The Food and Drug Administration) approved HPV vaccines mostly target L1 and L2 capsid proteins, which facilitate intracellular entry during infection. In this study, it was set out to analyze the creation of phylogenetic relations of L1 nucleic acid sequences of viral isolates. This study also analyzed sequences of three key elements within the amino acid sequences of HPV 16 L1: loops critical for structural stability, nuclear localization signal sequences, and residues implicated in viral attachment. As highlighted by the literature, these elements represent pivotal aspects of viral function. Furthermore, the report highlighted the particular inter-sequence variability within the HPV 16 L1 protein sequences. Overall analysis revealed clustering of sequences primarily due to geographical and characterized by more phylogenetic relatedness within location-specific clusters.

Pancreatic cancer stands out as one of the most lethal forms of malignancies, representing 2% of all cancer cases and contributing to 5% of cancer-related fatalities. Therefore, early detection of pancreatic cancer is crucial for enhancing treatment outcomes. Various hereditary cancer syndromes have been linked to an elevated risk of developing pancreatic cancer, suggesting potential benefits from surveillance strategies for individuals at risk. Presently, precision medicine employs PARP inhibitor therapy for pancreatic cancer patients carrying germline variants in Homologous Recombination Repair (HRR) genes. Our objective was to ascertain the occurrence of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants in genes predisposing to cancer among pancreatic cancer patients. Methodologically, we analyzed 184 pancreatic cancer patients referred to our laboratory for genetic examination. Utilizing a Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) approach, we scrutinized 52 genes implicated in hereditary cancer predisposition. Our findings revealed that 21% of the patients analyzed harbored germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants. Within this subset, 48% exhibited positive results in pancreatic cancer susceptibility genes, namely ATM (17%), BRCA1 (12%), BRCA2 (7%), CDKN2A (7%), and PALB2. Significantly, 64.3% of the pathogenic variants were associated with genes involved in the HRR pathway (ATM, BRCA1, BRCA2, BRIP1, CHEK2, FANCL, MRE11, PALB2, RAD50, RAD51B and RAD51C). In conclusion, our study underscores the significance of multigene genetic testing for pancreatic cancer patients, with 21% of individuals yielding findings linked to pancreatic or other cancer predisposition. Moreover, patients carried pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants in HRR genes, potentially benefiting from targeted therapies such as PARP inhibitors or platinum-based treatments.
