Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) has attracted increasing concerns owing to its intrinsic advantages of high sensitivity, good stability, and low background. Considering the fact that framework nanocrystals such as metal-organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks have the accurate molecular structures, a series of frameworks-based ECL platforms are developed for decoding the emission fundamentals. The integration of fluorescent ligands into frameworks significantly improves the ECL properties due to the arrangement of molecules and intramolecular electron transfer. Moreover, the frameworks various topology can be easily functionalized with the recognition elements to trace the targets for signal readout. These ECL enhancement strategies lead to a series of sensitive analytical methods for protein biomarkers, DNA, small biomolecules, and cells. In this review, we have summarized recent advances in various functions of frameworks during ECL process, and constructions of frameworks-based ECL platforms for biosensing. The frameworks-based ECL nanoemitters and the enhancement mechanisms show both theoretical innovation and potential applications in designing ECL biosensing systems.

At the nanoscale, metals exhibit special electrochemical and optical properties, which play an important role in nanobiosensing. In particular, the surface plasmon resonance based on precious metal nanoparticles, as a kind of tag free biosensor technology, has brought high sensitivity, high reliability and convenient operation to the sensor detection. By applying an electrochemical excitation signal on the nano plasma device, modulating its surface electron density and realizing electrochemical coupling surface plasmon resonance, it can effectively complete the joint transmission of electrical signals and optical signals, increase the resonance shift of the spectrum, and further improve the sensitivity of the designed biosensor. In addition, smartphone is playing an increasingly important role in portable mobile sensor detection systems. These systems typically connect sensing devices to smartphone to perceive different types of information, from optical signals to electrochemical signals, providing ideas for the portability and low-cost design of these sensing systems. Among them, electrochemiluminescence, as a special electrochemical coupled optical technology, has good application prospects in mobile sensing detection due to its strong anti-interference ability, which is not affected by background light. In this review, the surface plasmon resonance is introduced from nanoparticles, and its response process is analyzed theoretically. Then, the mechanism and sensing application of electrochemistry coupled surface plasmon resonance and electrochemiluminescence are emphatically introduced. Finally, it extends to the related research of electrochemical coupled optical sensing on mobile detection platforms.

Antibody responses to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are multi-targeted and variable over time. Multiplex quantitative serological assays are needed to provide accurate and robust seropositivity data for establishment of serological signatures during vaccination and or infection. We describe here, validation and evaluation of an electro-chemiluminescence (ECL) based Mesoscale Discovery assays (MSD), for estimation of total and functional IgG to SARS-CoV-2 spike, nucleocapsid, and receptor binding (RBD) proteins in human serum samples to establish serological signatures of SARS-CoV-2 natural infection and breakthrough cases. The 9-PLEX assay was validated as per ICH, EMA and US FDA guidelines using a panel of sera samples including the NIBSC/WHO international reference panel (20/268). Assay demonstrated high specificity and selectivity in inhibition assays, wherein the homologous inhibition was more than 85% and heterologous inhibition was below 10 %. Assay also met predetermined acceptance criteria for precision (CV < 30 %), accuracy (70-130 %) and dilutional linearity. Method applicability to serological signatures was demonstrated using sera samples (N=45) representing vaccinated, infected and breakthrough cases. The method was able to establish distinct serological signatures and thus provide potential tool for seroprevalence of SARS-COV-2 during vaccination or infection.

The study aimed to manage and to analyse the results of the laboratory tests, routinallypractice for hepatitis C diagnosis, using blood tests. Statistical analysis of this study results, was performed using the laboratory informatic system. The results of the study are substantial and intricate reffering to comparision between two methods concretlly ELISA method (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) and chemiluminescence methods and their results. Good to know our opinion that RT-PCR technique, it is considered proper for the diagnosis of HCV ( Hepatitis C virus).
