Sensor application is impacting the everyday objects that enhance human life. In this special issue, the main objective was to address recent advantages of sensor application in agriculture covering a wide range of topics in this field. This provides overview of diverse application of sensors in agriculture, highlighting their role in enhancing productivity, sustainability, and resource management. sensors are instrumental in monitoring various agriculture parameter such as soil condition, weather, crop health and livestock wellbeing. By collecting real-time data and providing valuable insight, sensors enable precision farming, optimize resource allocation, and minimize environmental impacts. we have to explore the key sensor types used in agriculture, their applications, benefits, and future prospects, emphasizing their crucial roles in the modernization of agriculture and global quest for food security and crop production.

Millets, known for their resilience and adaptability, present both opportunities and challenges in processing, demanding innovative solutions. Their rich nutritional profile, including high fiber, essential minerals, and antioxidants, contributes significantly to a balanced diet. The nutraceutical potential of millets further underscores their therapeutic properties, offering preventive measures against lifestyle-related health issues. However, the presence of antinutritional factors necessitates careful consideration. Biofortified millet varieties in India have emerged as a promising solution to enhance micronutrient content, addressing malnutrition concerns. This review synthesizes current knowledge, providing insights into the diverse aspects of multimillets and their pivotal role in fostering a healthier lifestyle in India.

This comparative research paper examines the difference between sugarcane harvesting practices in Thailand and India. The objective of research was to investigate and compare current pattern of sugar harvesting and its impact of these approaches on labor health conditions in the sugarcane industry of both the countries as India and Thailand. Data were collected from target population groups (40 each) from study areas, namely Kanchanaburi and Saraburi provinces in Thailand and Beed District of Maharashtra state from India. The data showed that comparatively in Thailand, adoption of mechanized harvesting was seen more. However in India, mechanized harvesting was seen increasing but still people were largely involved in sugarcane harvesting and it had ill effects on the overall health of female workers specially. The result clearly indicated that there was drastic difference in harvesting system and labor health conditions in Thailand and India. The findings underscore the multifaceted impact of their occupation on various aspects of health including general well-being of female sugarcane cutters. The strenuous nature of sugarcane cutting, coupled with inadequate protective measures and limited access to healthcare has contributed to a range of health care challenges among female sugarcane cutters in India.

The proposed research study explore the decision tool for cropwise variability of NDVI using RS techniques and GIS tool as a crucial indicators for monitoring vegetation status.A small case study for Parbhani district of Maharashtra, India was conducted using Landsat-9 satellite images of the Rabi season in the year 2022-23 were processed using ArcGIS 10.7 software to derive the NDVI values. During the analysis, the maximum NDVI in the study area was recorded at 0.5857 on February 03, 2023, while the minimum was observed as -0.1018 on February 19, 2023. For specific crops, the average NDVI ranged from 0.1183 to 0.3189 for wheat, 0.1679 to 0.2891 for jowar, and 0.1163 to 0.3367 for gram. The mean NDVI values for wheat, jowar, and gram crops during the Rabi season of 2022-23 were 0.218, 0.219, and 0.217, respectively.Furthermore, the average NDVI values exhibited an increasing from the initial stage to the mid-crop growth stage, followed by a decrease during the end-season stage for wheat, jowar, and gram crops. Interestingly, the mean NDVI values of major Rabi crops, wheat, jowar, and gram for the year 2022-23, is approximately similar to the mean NDVI values observed for of year 2022-23.
