Revista Alergia México Joins Preprints Friendly Journals Program in March 2026

In March 2026, we welcome Revista Alergia México to the Preprints Friendly Journals program, one of Preprints.org’s initiatives aiming to connect preprints with journals and help early-research sharing move toward peer review and formal publication.

Today, more and more journals accept submissions that have been posted as preprints, and this practice is widely seen as a positive development in academic publishing.

By doing this, journals help accelerate research dissemination and enhance the visibility of new findings for the wider research community. Preprints also allow researchers to receive early feedback from the community, helping them refine and improve their manuscripts before formal peer review.

The Preprints Friendly Journals program is designed to support this development in academic publishing by partnering with journals that encourage preprints and by creating a pathway that benefits both authors and journals: helping authors identify suitable journals for submission while giving participating journals early visibility into relevant new research.

Revista Alergia México is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in clinical allergy and immunology. Its mission is to disseminate high-quality research, including original findings, emerging trends, innovative methodologies, and new techniques in the field.

  • Publisher: Colegio Mexicano de Inmunología Clínica y Alergia
  • ISSN 0002-5151
  • EISSN 2448-9190
  • Scope: Allergy and Immunology; Clinical Immunology; Asthma; Respiratory Diseases; Pediatrics; Internal Medicine
  • Year of launch: 1954

What is the Preprints Friendly Journals program

The Preprints Friendly Journals program connects preprints with journals by offering a list of peer-reviewed journals that support manuscripts being shared publicly as preprints before or during journal submission.

When submitting a preprint to Preprints.org, authors can choose a target journal from the list. The selected journal will then be notified of the newly posted manuscript.

If authors have not yet decided where to submit their work while posting a preprint, they can return to the Preprints Friendly Journals page later to explore suitable journals.

This approach helps bridge early dissemination through preprints with the formal journal publication process.

Benefits for authors

  • Early visibility to journals

When authors select a journal during preprint submission, the participating journal is notified, increasing the chances for authors to connect with suitable journals.

  • Journal discovery

Authors can easily identify journals that accept preprints and welcome such submissions, helping them find appropriate target journals for formal peer review and publication.

Benefits for journals

  • Visibility among active preprint authors

Participating journals gain exposure to researchers who are actively sharing new research on Preprints.org. Currently, more than 410,000 researchers have shared their work on the platform.

  • Early access to relevant manuscripts

When authors select their journal during the preprint submission, journal editors can be notified of newly posted preprints within their scope.
