The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the Internet of Things (IoT) has propelled technological innovation across various industries. This systematic literature review explores the current state and future trajectories of AI in IoT, with a particular focus on emerging trends in intelligent data analysis and privacy protection. The proliferation of IoT devices, marked by voluminous data generation, has reshaped data processing methods, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making. While previous reviews have offered valuable insights, they often fall short of comprehensively addressing the multifaceted dimensions within the AI-driven IoT landscape. This review aims to bridge this gap by systematically examining existing literature and acknowledging the limitations of past studies. To achieve this aim, the study uses a meticulous approach guided by established methodologies. The chosen methodology ensures the rigor and validity of the review, aligning with PRISMA guidelines for systematic reviews. This systematic literature review serves as a comprehensive guide for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, offering insights into the current landscape and paving the way for future research directions. The identified trends and challenges provide a valuable resource for navigating the evolving domain of AI in IoT, fostering a balanced, secure, and sustainable advancement in this dynamic field.

With the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI), many aspects of our lives, from how we work to how we interact with each other and the world around us is showing dramatic changes. Education is one of the key areas that may be impacted by the rise of AI. Although a large number of studies have been conducted in recent years to shed light on how AI may influence various dimensions of education, a very little work has been carried out to consolidate and synthesis empirical studies on the application of AI in higher education. The present study reviewed empirical studies published between 2013 and 2022 to 1) examine the characteristics of published research in the field, and 2) to present thorough insights on the promises and challenges of this dramatic technology in higher and professional education. This review included 44 empirical studies published as peer-reviewed journal articles. The results indicated that there is rapid increase in the publications focusing on AI in higher education in last a few years. However, a big proportion of these publications are technically theoretical and conceptual proposals for AI intervention. The areas of AI applications in higher education that are supported by evidence based research are presented. Imperative implications are also highlighted for future research and implementation of AI based interventions in higher education.

To maximize the potential benefits of AI applications in higher education, it is crucial to implement appropriate safeguards and regulations. This paper provides a starting point for research on the potential impact of artificial intelligence on international students’ educational experiences and how AI may be integrated into educational administration and learning processes.

This study delves into hospital mobility, understood as an indicator of perceived service quality, across the Italian regions of Apulia and Emilia Romagna, utilizing logistic regression among machine learning techniques. The focus is on how structural, operational, and clinical variables impact patient perceptions of service quality, influencing their healthcare choices. Through the analysis of mobility trends with machine learning, significant differences between regions were uncovered, highlighting the influence of regional context on perceived quality. The integration of SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) values into our analysis provided deeper insights into the logistic regression model, elucidating the specific contribution of each variable to perceived healthcare quality. This incorporation of SHAP values underscores the study's commitment to employing advanced, explainable AI techniques to enhance the interpretability and fairness of healthcare service evaluations. The choice of logistic regression elucidated the impact of specific variables on quality perception, offering essential insights for optimizing healthcare resource distribution and underscoring the importance of data-driven strategies to foster more equitable, efficient, and patient-centred healthcare systems. Contributing to the understanding of perceived quality dynamics within the healthcare context, the research paves the way for further investigations into enhancing accessibility and service quality, leveraging machine learning as a tool for improving healthcare services efficiency in diverse regional settings.
