Visual Delusion Under Over-Conducted Survival Efforts

Abstract
Visual delusion is a debilitating symptom of many mental illnesses. This paper dives into the mechanisms behind visual perception. I suggest that vision perception can be understood as sequential biomolecular activations, and the activations of these pre-existing molecular machineries in fact is independent from light sensing, suggesting vision perception does not necessarily rely on light signals. I further highlight that the observed aberrant neuronal activities - ‘misfiring’ in visual delusions, represent ‘self-enforced’ cellular activities in response to endangered survival, reflecting an intrinsic recovery strategy typically adopted during human dreaming but exaggeratedly executed in response to compromised cellular machinery. The idea nuancedly shift the current focus on abnormal neuronal activities in visual delusion, to the cause of such abnormal activities. My paper adds further insights into current treatment options for patients experiencing ‘visual delusion’ by reframing the current focus to the essential molecular machinery rooted for normal vision and underlying this aberrant activities.
