Malaria is endemic in Nigeria and remains a major public health problem, taking its greatest toll on children under age 5 and pregnant women, although it is preventable, treatable, and curable. This study investigates the Impact of socio-economic factors and indoor mosquito control on malaria prevalent among pregnant women in Nigeria using logistic regression. To achieve this, secondary data obtained from 2015 Nigeria Malaria Indicator survey, executed by the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and the National Population Commission (NPopC), with a nationally representative sample of more than 8,000 consisting of 7,745 households. The results from the logistic regression with odds ratio revealed that pregnant women are more like to be affected by malaria fever (though not significant) compared to women that are not pregnant. The income levels of the household does not significant reduce the incidence of malaria fever among pregnant women in Niger. Concerning the malaria presenting measure, only dwelling sprayed by private company significantly reduce the incidence of malaria fever among pregnant women (P-value=0.020<0.05) compared to dwelling sprayed by government and NGOs and also to Insecticide Treated Net. Also pregnant women in the urban centers are less likely to have malaria fever compared to pregnant women in rural communities in Nigeria. Also, pregnant women with atleast a secondary school level of education are less likely to be affected by malaria fever compared to pregnant women with no formal education. The fitted logistic model passed the goodness-of-test fit; the classification test for the logistic model was correctly classified at about 67.02%. Therefore, this study recommends that government and NGOs should intensify their efforts in the area of dwelling spraying, awareness campaign of the danger of malaria fever among pregnant women and infants, engaged in effective distribution of insecticide treated net in order to reduce the incidence of malaria fever among pregnant women living in rural communities in Nigeria.

Objective: To explore the application effect of predictive psychological nursing in the nursing of outpatients with indwelling needle intravenous infusion .Methods: Select 80 patients who received intravenous indwelling needle infusion therapy in the outpatient department of our hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 as the research objects , and divided them into observation group and experimental group according to the different nursing plans received by the patients . 40 cases in each group. The observation group received routine nursing intervention, and the experimental group received predictive psychological nursing intervention. The puncture situation, psychological state level, self-care ability, adverse reactions and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups of patients .Results: The puncture success rate of the observation group was 72.5% (29/40), and that of the experimental group was 95.0% (38/40). The puncture success rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the observation group (P<0.05) ; The SAS scores and SDS scores of the treatment group after nursing were significantly lower than those of the observation group (all, P<0.05) ; the self-care skills, self-concept, self-responsibility, health knowledge and ESCA total scores of the experimental group after nursing were significantly higher than those of the observation group. group (all, P<0.05); the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 25.0% (10/40), the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 7.5% (3/40), and the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the observation group group (P<0.05); the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 80.0% (32/40), and the nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was 100.0% (40/40), and the nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the observation group (P<0.05 ).Conclusion: The application effect of the predictive psychological nursing intervention model in the outpatient department for intravenous indwelling needle infusion therapy is significant. The implementation of this model can effectively improve the success rate of puncture, improve the patient's psychological state, improve the self-care ability of patients, and reduce the adverse effects of patients. Treatment of bladder cancer remains a critical unmet need and requires advanced approaches, particularly the development of local drug delivery systems. The physiology of the urinary bladder causes the main difficulties in the local treatment of bladder cancer: regular voiding prevents the maintenance of optimal concentration of the instilled drugs, while poor permeability of the urothelium limits the penetration of the drugs into the bladder wall. Therefore, much research effort is spent to overcome these hurdles, thereby improving the efficacy of available therapies. The explosive development of nanotechnology, polymer science and related fields has contributed to the emergence of a number of nanostructured vehicles (nano- and micro scale) applicable for intravesical drug delivery. Moreover, the engineering approach has facilitated the design of several macro-sized depot systems (centimeter scale) capable of remaining in the bladder for weeks and months. In this article, the main rationales and strategies for improved intravesical delivery are reviewed. Here, we focused on analysis of colloidal nano- and micro-sized drug carriers, and indwelling macro-scale devices which were evaluated for applicability in local therapy of bladder cancer in vivo.
