Abstract
Research on the healthy human oral and respiratory microbiome has expanded rapidly since 2020. The underlying data remain scattered across main texts and supplementary files. Here we describe a curated compendium of 64 records drawn from studies published between January 2020 and August 2026. The compendium covers four anatomical sites: the anterior nares, the nasopharynx, the oral cavity (saliva, tongue dorsum, supragingival plaque, and subgingival plaque), and the lower respiratory tract. Each data record states the source publication, a PMC, PubMed, or DOI identifier, the sample size, the population, the sampling site, the key quantitative values, and an evidence qualifier. Qualifiers mark pre-2020 baseline references, preprints, and review-derived values. The records encode age trajectories from birth to old age and the measured effects of diet, smoking, air pollution, cohabitation, vaccination, and oral hygiene. Nine documented gap intervals (five complete, two near, two sparse), including bronchoalveolar lavage in healthy children, are recorded as data gaps rather than extrapolated. The compendium is released as five tables with this article.
