Abstract
Since its formal discovery in 1965, the cosmic microwave background (CMB) played a cornerstone role in modern astronomy. The study of CMB became the main tool of astronomers in trying to gauge the early universe and to test their inflationary models against the CMB data as its radiation provided evidence of the big bang origin of the universe and studying the CMB anisotropies gave clues about the normal matter evolution and large structure formation in the universe. While applying the virial theorem at different scales, the discussion will show another important aspect of the role CMB radiation in describing the universe and its evolution.
