Abstract
Astronomy is probably the oldest science of mankind and thus older than writing. With the development of exact natural sciences, various astronomical sciences such as astrochemistry, astrobiology and some more have developed. The current rapid development of space travel is leading to the formation of further sub-disciplines. In principle, there can be a new extraterrestrial astronomical science for every natural science that has so far been earthbound.
