Abstract
Developing detailed Finite Element Models relatedto aerospace, automobile, civil, material science etc could be avery challenging task, especially generating a mesh that couldproduce accurate results. This review article provides an overviewof different types of structural mechanics problems which areof interest to researchers and recent developments in meshingmethodology related to each type of problems. The article alsodescribes an automatic 2D mesh generation framework leverag-ing the capabilities of commercial FEA software MSC.PATRAN
