Preservation Agreement Between Portico and Preprints

Preprints Editorial Office
05 August 2020
We are pleased to announce that Preprints reached an agreement in July with Portico, an organization dedicated to the long-term preservation of content in electronic or digital form that is of scholarly or cultural significance.

Through this agreement with Portico, all the posted papers in Preprints will be preserved and available in Portico for future practitioners, scholars, researchers and students. It puts Preprints into place to provide a secure, permanent back-up.

About Portico
Portico is a digital content preservation service of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization that aims to help the academic community support sustainable teaching and research and to use digital technologies to preserve that knowledge for the scholarly record.

About Preprints
Preprints is a platform dedicated to making early versions of research outputs permanently available and citable. We post original research articles and comprehensive reviews, and papers can be updated by authors at any time. Content on Preprints is not peer-reviewed and can receive feedback from readers.
