Objective To analyze the influence of HIV in penitentiary institutions through an exhaustive lexiconmetric and sentiment analysis of news in the Spanish written press related to HIV and prison. Material an method observational, descriptive, and retrospective design based on news published in Spanish newspapers from 1981 to 2020, linking HIV infection with penitentiary institutions. Natural language processing and lexiconmetry techniques were used, using the Python programming language and ATLAS Ti v.9 software. Result: 318 articles were analyzed, with 10,502 distinct words. The sentiment of news was evaluated in three different periods: the discovery of HIV, and the periods before and after the existence of antiretroviral treatments. N-gram analysis and word cloud creation were carried out for each period. In the initial phase, ignorance predominated, and prominent terms such as "homosexual," "isolate," "test," "trial," or "confirm" were observed. In the period before antiretroviral treatments, news reflected negative feelings and criticism of prison policy, with keywords such as "give birth," "drug," "carrier," or "disease." With the arrival of treatments, news showed an evolution towards a more positive tone, highlighting terms such as "treatment," "release," or "syringes”.Conclusions: The presence of HIV in Spanish prisons has experienced a significant evolution from an alarming situation to an improvement in the care of inmates, driven by institutional adaptation and advances in antiretroviral treatments.

The article suggests that the the Gregorian calendar is unscientific and ivestiagtes why the Vaidika Pañcāṅga is mathematically accurate. It is a qualitative study and the library method of research has been carried out to support the claims. For Indic words, the International Alphabet for Sanskrit Transliteration (IAST) method is used.

La reflexión sobre la formación que necesitan los docentes panameños tiene poca tradición investigativa, aunque recientemente se han desarrollado programas de formación de docentes para enseñar matemáticas de acuerdo con las tendencias actuales en la enseñanza de esta materia. Este artículo explica uno de estos programas de formación de posgrado. Específicamente, se discuten los lineamientos para su diseño y algunos resultados de su segunda implementación. Entre los resultados más importantes para este artículo tenemos a) la creación de la plataforma así como el conjunto de tareas diseñadas, las cuales han sido utilizadas para la formación de posteriores promociones de docentes; b) Destaca el cambio en los criterios que orientan la práctica docente al final del programa, en relación con los criterios utilizados antes de la formación, destacando particularmente la relevancia que adquieren los aspectos emocionales y los relacionados con la interacción en este proceso.

This paper presents a methodology to detect the erosion and progradation effects in the Atrato river delta, located in the Gulf of Urabá in Colombia using SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data. Other authors have studied this area by using optical images, encountering difficulties given the persistent presence of clouds in this region. SAR imagery is rescaled, despeckled, composed, classified, registered and processed to obtain a heatmap that shows the overall changes during eight years (2016–2023) in one single image. Since this technology uses microwave active signals, the presence of clouds and other environmental phenomena was not a problem, and all the images from the selected dates could be processed and analyzed. Also, detection of the dynamic processes was obtained for every period considered in this study with respect to the previous one in time, calculating areas and detecting the regions subject to the erosion and progradation processes. The multitemporal analysis performed found that the newly created mouth is the most active area for these processes, coinciding with other studies. A comparison of these findings with the Oceanic Niño Index (ONI) showed a relative delayed coupling to the erosion process and a coupling of progradation with dry and wet seasons.
