The main objective of this study is to find out the influence of cooperation and intra-specific competition in escaping predation through refuge of the prey population and the effect of the two intra-specific interactions on the dynamics of prey-predator systems. For this purposes, two mathematical models with Holling type-II functional response function have been proposed and analyzed. The first model includes cooperation among prey populations whereas the second one incorporates intra-specific competition. Existence conditions and stability of different equilibrium points of both models have been carried out for the qualitative behaviour of the systems. Refuge through intra-specific competition has a stabilizing role, whereas cooperation has a destabilizing role on the system dynamics. Periodic oscillations are observed in both the systems through Hopf bifurcation. From the analytical and numerical findings, we conclude that intra-specific competition affects the prey population and continuously checks the refuge class under a critical value, and thus it never becomes too large to cause predator extinction due to food scarcity. Conversely, cooperation leads maximum individuals to escape predation through the refuge so that predators will suffer from low predation success.

We investigate a new fundamental property of infectious diseases with natural adaptive immunity that weakens over time. Numerical experiments with a model of the Covid-19 epidemic in Moscow have demonstrated that when the reproduction number R0 is about 4, a qualitative change (bifurcation) occurs in the behavior of the virus-human system. Below this value, the long-term forecast tends to undamped oscillations; above it, the forecast shows damped oscillations: the amplitudes of epidemic waves decrease gradually, with a constant, very high background level of morbidity that keeps the natural immunity near 100%. To confirm this result analytically, we use an original modification of the Euler-Lotka renewal equation, which describes the dynamics of infected patients distributed by disease duration (time since infection) and accounts for immunity. To construct a bifurcation diagram, which illustrates the dependence of the equilibrium stability on the parameter R0, we linearize the equation in the vicinity of the equilibrium point and examine its numerical approximation (discrete form). This approximation can be interpreted as a Leslie model, with the matrix elements dependent on the parameter R0. By examining the roots of the corresponding Lotka polynomial, we can assess the stability of the equilibrium point. For the bifurcation diagram, we use the functions obtained from the simulation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Moscow. However, observations of the epidemic in other cities and countries support the primary finding of our study regarding the attenuation of epidemic waves.

The laser differential equations are used to transform them into identical coupled maps. Valuable results are deduced during analytical and numerical studies on cavity loss. Phase and spatiotemporal synchronized attractors are observed via quasi-chaos under a certain range of controlling parameters, and symmetry breaking of chaotic attractors due to collision with their basin boundaries, and transpire differently from the previous attractors. During the numerical simulation, it is found that the sequence of repeated strange attractors if the coupling strength further increases, which are orthogonal mirror images (the dynamics of the system is the same at different values of controlling parameters). Moreover, it can help us to predict future problems and their solutions based on current issues, if we develop this model in more general.

In this manuscript a new approach into analyzing the local stability of equilibrium points of non-linear Caputo fractional planar systems is shown. It is shown that the equilibrium points of such systems can be a stable focus or unstable focus. In addition, it is proposed that previous results regarding the stability of equilibrium points have been incorrect, the results here attempt to correct such results. Lastly, it is proposed that a Caputo fractional planar system cannot undergo a Hopf bifurcation, contrary to previous results prior. Though, it is shown that such systems can undergo a Hopf bifurcation (topologically).

The process of revitalising quiescent cells in order for them to proliferate plays a pivotal role in the repair of warn out tissues as well as for tissue homeostasis. This process is also crucial in the growth, development and well-being of higher multi-cellular organisms such as mammals. Deregulation of quiescent-proliferation transition is related to many diseases, in particular cancer. Recent studies have revealed that this process is regulated tightly by the Rb−E2F bistable switch mechanism. Based on experimental observations, in this study, we formulate a mathematical model to examine the effect of the growth factor concentration on the proliferation-quiescence transition in human cells. Working with a non-dimensionalised model, we prove positivity, boundedness and uniqueness of solutions. To understand model solution behaviour close to bifurcation points, we carry out bifurcation analysis, which is further verified by use of numerical bifurcation analysis, sensitivity analysis and numerical simulations. Indeed, bifurcation and numerical analysis of the model predicted a transition between stable, bistable and stable states, which are dependent on the growth factor concentration parameter (GF). The derived predictions confirm experimental observations.

Worldwide, about one in eight people live in slums. Empirical studies based on satellite data have identified that the size distributions of this type of settlement are similar in different cities of the Global South. Based on these results, we developed a model describing the formation of slums with a Turing mechanism, in which patterns are created by diffusion-driven instability and the inherent characteristic length of the system is independent of boundary conditions. We examine the model in this paper by critically reflecting its assumptions, comparing them with recent empirical observations and discussing possible adjustments and future extensions based on new methods of identifying pattern formation mechanisms.

The inherent non-smoothness of vibroimpact system leads to complex behaviors as well as strong sensitive dependence on parameter changes. Unfortunately, uncertainties and errors in system parameters are inevitable in mechanical engineering. Therefore, the investigations of dynamical behaviors for vibroimpact systems with stochastic parameters are highly essential. The present study aims to analyze the dynamical characteristics of the three-degree-of-freedom vibroimpact system with an uncertain parameter by means of the Chebyshev polynomial approximation method. Specifically, the vibroimpact system model considered is one with unilateral constraint. Firstly, the three-degree-of-freedom vibroimpact system with an uncertain parameter is transformed into an equivalent deterministic form by the Chebyshev orthogonal approximation. Then, the ensemble means responses of the stochastic vibroimpact system are derived. Numerical simulations are performed to verify the effectiveness of the approximation method. Furthermore, the periodic and chaos motions under different system parameters are investigated, and the bifurcations of the vibroimpact system are analyzed by the Poincaré map. The results demonstrate that both the restitution coefficient and the random factor can induce the appearance of the periodic bifurcation. It is worth noting that the bifurcations fundamentally differ between the stochastic and deterministic systems. The former has a bifurcation interval, while the latter occurs at a critical point.

In the succinic acid-producing bacterium Pseudoclostridium thermosuccinogenes the fumarate reductase (FRD) genes reside in an operon together with those encoding an electron bifurcating complex (FlxABCD-HdrABC) that shuttles electrons from NADH to ferredoxin and a disulfide bond. Based on phylogeny and genomic co-occurrence we propose two hypothetical mechanisms via which the FRD is involved in electron bifurcation: (I) A disulfide bond from a hitherto unknown cofactor is reduced by the electron-bifurcating FlxABCD-HdrABC complex, using NADH to generate two thiol groups, while facilitating the unfavourable reduction of ferredoxin by NADH. The disulfide bond is subsequently regenerated via the reduction of fumarate by the FRD using the previously formed thiol groups. (II) The FRD forms an integral part of the FlxABCD-HdrABC complex, and NADH is used to reduce ferredoxin and fumarate directly, without an intermediate disulfide-forming cofactor. Either way enables the conservation of additional energy by a soluble FRD, analogous to fumarate respiration.

The Casiquiare River is a natural channel that connects two of the greatest rivers in the world, the Orinoco and the Amazon in the South American Continent. The aim of this paper is to present a review and synthesis of the hydrological and sedimentological knowledge of the Casiquiare River, including the first hydro-sedimentary balance of the Casiquiare fluvial system conducted at the bifurcation and at the mouth on September 9-12, 2000, during the expedition ‘Humboldt-Amazonia 2000’. Bathymetric, flow discharge and physico-chemical measurements were made at the inlet and at the outlet of the Casiquiare Channel. The main conclusions of this study indicate that Casiquiare is taking a significant proportion of flow (20 to 30%) from the Upper Orinoco basin to the Amazon basin. Throughout its 356 km-course, this chameleon channel undergoes significant morphological, hydrological and bio-geochemical variations between the inlet and the outlet, whose most visible witnesses are the increase in its width (3 to 4 times), flow (7 to 9 times) and its change in water color (white to black water), under the influence of tributaries coming from vast forest plains.

One objective of this paper is to investigate bifurcation of solutions of Ornstein-Zernike equation in liquid state theory for the gas-liquid coexistence region of simple fluids. The analysis uses a discrete form of the Ornstein-Zernike equation in real space, together with a closure relation which provides nearly self consistent thermodynamic properties of fluids governed by interaction potentials like the Lennard-Jones potential. Accurate asymptotic forms of correlation functions are incorporated in the real space algorithm so as to mitigate the influence of cutoff length used in the discrete approximations. It is found that there is no spinodal on the vapor side on a sub-critical isotherm. But there are fold bifurcation points on the vapor and liquid sides together with a 'no-real-solution-region' in between. This is followed by a region of negative compressibility extending up to the spinodal on the liquid side. The emerging picture is quite similar to that in the case of the hypernetted-chain-closure. It is also found that complex solutions connect the physical solutions that exist outside the 'no-real-solution-region' as well as in region of negative compressibility. The second objective of the paper, in the light of bifurcation scenario, is to evolve an interpretation of the coupling-parameter expansion of correlation functions pertaining to the region of negative compressibility. It is shown that the expansion provides an accurate description of results of the restricted ensembles, implied in mean field theories and simulation methods. Bifurcation of singlet density to inhomogeneous distributions at a spinodal is also established using a simple equation, which uses the direct correlation function. Thus the paper reestablishes the fact that restriction to a homogeneous singlet density is the root cause of all inconsistencies found in the gas-liquid coexistence region.

Anatomical airways parameters as length, diameter and angles have a strong effect on the flow dynamics. Aiming to explore the effect of variations of the bifurcation angle (BA) and carina rounding radius (CRR) of lower human airways on the respiratory processes, numerical simulations of airflow during inhalation and exhalation were performed using a synthetic bifurcation models. Geometries for the airways models were parameterized based on a set of different BA's and several CRR's. A range of Reynolds numbers (\Reyn) relevant to the human breathing process were selected to analyzed the airflow behaviour. The numerical results show a significant influence of BA and the CRR on the development of the airflow within the airways, and therefore affecting some relevant features of the flow, namely the deformation of velocity profiles, alterations of pressure drop, the flow patterns, and finally enhance or attenuation of wall shear stresses (WSS) appearing during the regular respiratory process. Numerical results show that increases in the bifurcation angle value are accompanied by pressure increases of about 20\%, especially in the regions close to the bifurcation. Similarly, increases in the BA value lead to a reduction in peak shear stresses of up to 70\%. For the ranges of angles and radii explored, an increase in pressure of about 20\% and a reduction in wall shear stress of more than 400\% were obtained by increasing the carina rounding radius. Analysis of the coherent structures and secondary flow patterns also revealed a direct relationship between the location of the vortical structures, the local maxima of the velocity profiles and the local vorticity minima. This relationship was observed for all branches analysed, for both the inhalation and exhalation processes of the respiratory cycle.

Practitioners who assess the risk associated with urban trees often factor in the presence or absence of visual tree defects when determining whether a tree may fail. While these defects are a main fixture in many tree risk assessment systems and best management practices, the research supporting their usefulness in predicting tree failure during storms is limited. When looking at past research involving populations of storm-damaged trees, there are several defects that have never predicted failure (or have been associated with reduced rates of failure). In this study, we took a closer look at four such defects: codominant branches; branch unions with included bark; multiple stems originating from the same point; and overextended branches. After Hurricane Ian, we revisited 1519 risk assessed trees where one of these four defects was identified as the primary condition of concern. Fourteen of these trees experienced branch failure during the storm (which hit the study area as a downgraded tropical storm). Upon closer inspection, none of these failures occurred at the defect of concern. Our findings indicate that none of the defects assessed appeared to increase the likelihood of tree failure in the species tested. Our results are in line with past research on these defects derived from post-storm assessments and analysis.

The buildup of plaque in the arteries characterizes atherosclerosis, which causes the walls of the arteries to thicken, the lumen to narrow, and the wall to thin in certain areas. These changes can lead to alterations in blood flow, potentially resulting in aneurysms and heart attacks if left untreated. This paper presents a phenomenological model to explain the mechanics of plaque rupture in stenosed bifurcated elastic arteries. The model considers the interaction between the plaque and artery wall, blood flow, mechanical properties of the artery wall and plaque, and hemodynamic forces in the system. Using the Navier-Stokes equations to describe blood flow and elastic properties of artery walls, our study shows that blood flow can become turbulent, leading to backflow, vortices, and possible stagnation. Certain regions can become highly vulnerable and result in elevated heat transfer between blood and arterial walls, which can lead to the rupture of the plaque cap. The study focuses on blood flow features such as velocity profiles and wall displacement on fluid-structure interaction, which are consistent with the literature. Finally, we calculate the wall shear stress (WSS) for minimum and maximum times while considering elastic walls. Our findings may provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of plaque rupture and inform the development of improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

A connection between the phenomenon of wafer bifurcation and that of spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB) has been established. Indeed, by developing an analytical approximation of the elastic energy of a wafer coated with a thin layer (e.g. a metal), it is shown as the elastic potential energy, interpreted as a quantity contributing to the thermodynamic free energy, can be investigated within the framework of the Landau theory of the second order phase transitions. The elastic energy of a bifurcated wafer is a complex function of the stress and the curvatures in the two perpendicular directions. In this work, it is shown as a translation of the coordinate system of the curvatures allows to gain a potential which has a “Mexican hat” shape. This is a distinctive trait of the phenomenon of spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB). Moreover, it is shown as the values of the coordinates at the minimum of the SSB potential agrees with those provided by the theory. Bifurcation is hence a phenomenon that can also be interpreted as a spontaneous symmetry breaking where the rotational symmetry of a disc shaped wafer is broken. It occurs because of a lowering of the wafer energy in the SSB broken symmetry configuration.

The necessary and sufficient conditions of existence of the nonlinear operator equations' branches of solutions in the neighbourhood of branching points are derived. The approach is based on reduction of the nonlinear operator equations to finite-dimensional problems. Methods of nonlinear functional analysis, integral equations, spectral theory based on index of Kronecker-Poincare, Morse-Conley index, power geometry and other methods are employed. Proposed methodology enables justification of the theorems on existence of bifurcation points and bifurcation sets in the nonstandard models. Formulated theorems are constructive. For a certain smoothness of the nonlinear operator, the asymptotic behaviour of the solutions is analysed in the neighbourhood of the branch points and uniformly converging iterative schemes with a choice of the uniformization parameter enables the comprehensive analysis of the problems details. General theorems are illustrated on the nonlinear integral equations.

A deterministic compartment model for the transmission dynamics of onchocerciasis with nonlinear incidence functions in two interacting populations is studied. The model is quantitatively analyzed to investigate it's local asymptotic behavior with respect to disease-free and endemic equilibria. It is shown, using Routh-Hurwitz criteria, that the disease-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable when the basic reproduction number is less than the unity. When the reproduction number is greater than the unity, we prove the existence of a locally asymptotically stable endemic equilibrium. Furthermore, bifurcation analysis was done by investigating the possibility of the co-existence of the equilibria of the model at R0<0 but near R0=0 by Center Manifold Theory.

Intense thermoacoustic oscillations may lead to severe deterioration due to the induced intolerable damage to combustors. A better understanding of unstable behaviors is important to prevent or suppress these oscillations. Active thermoacoustic coupling in practical combustors is caused primarily by two approaches: inherent turbulent fluctuations and the flame response to acoustic waves. Turbulent fluctuations are generally characterized by random noise. This paper experimentally expands on previous analytic studies regarding the influence of colored disturbances on the thermoacoustic response near the supercritical bifurcation point. Therein, a laboratory-scale Rijke-type thermoacoustic system is established, and both supercritical and subcritical bifurcations are observed. Then, Ornstein–Uhlenbeck (OU)-type external colored noise is introduced near the supercritical bifurcation point, and the effects of the corresponding correlation time τc and noise intensity D are studied. The experimental results show that these variables of the colored noise significantly influence the dynamics of thermoacoustic oscillations in terms of the most probable amplitude, autocorrelation, and correlation time. A resonance-like behavior is observed as the noise intensity or the autocorrelation time of the colored noise is continuously varied, which means that the coherent resonance occurs in the thermoacoustic system. Finally, when the system is configured closer to the stability boundary, the extent of the coherence motion is intensified in the stochastic system response. Meanwhile, the Signal to Noise Ratios (SNRs) of the colored-noise-induced response are found to become more distinguished, the optimal colored noise intensity decreases, and the optimal autocorrelation time increases. This provides valuable guidance to predict the onset of thermoacoustic instabilities.

Measles is a highly contagious airborne disease that is endemic in many developing countries with low levels of vaccination coverage. In this paper, we propose a deterministic compartmental mathematical model for measles disease dynamics. We establish the global stability conditions for the disease-free and endemic equilibria using the Lyapunov function stability method. \textcolor{red}{Using arbitrary parameters it is obtained that the proposed model exhibits forward bifurcation}. Numerical integration using MATLAB software was used to simulate the model solution of the forward problem. We calibrate the proposed model to estimate the parameters with a 95\% confidence interval (CI) using real data from Ethiopia by formulating an inverse problem. We notice that the model fits well with the real data of Ethiopia. The estimated basic reproduction number ($R_0$) is found to be $R_0=1.3973$ which proves that the disease is endemic. It is also obtained from the local sensitivity analysis that reducing the transmission rate and increasing the vaccination rate could effectively minimize the $R_0$.

This work focuses on the bifurcation behavior before chaos phenomenon happens. Traditional numerical method is unable to solve the unstable limit cycle of nonlinear system. One algorithm is introduced to solve the unstable one, which is based one of the continuation method is called DEPAR approach. Combined with analytic and numerical method, the two stable and symmetrical equilibrium solutions exist through Fork bifurcation and the unstable and symmetrical limit cycles exist through Hopf bifurcation of Lorenz system. With the continuation algorithm, the bifurcation behavior and its phase diagram is solved. The results demonstrate the unstable periodical solution is around the equilibrium solution, besides the trajectory into the unstable area cannot escape but only converge to the equilibrium solution.

We search for limit cycles in the dynamical model of two-species chemical reactions that contain seven reaction rate coefficients as parameters and at least one third-order reaction step, that is, the induced kinetic differential equation of the reaction is a planar cubic differential system. Symbolic calculations were carried out using the Mathematica (or, Wolfram language) mathematical program package, and it was also used for the numerical verifications to show the following facts: the kinetic differential equations of these reactions each has two limit cycles surrounding the stationary point of focus type in the positive quadrant. In the case of Model 1, the outer limit cycle is stable and the inner one is unstable that appears in a supercritical Hopf bifurcation. Moreover, the oscillations in a neighborhood of the outer limit cycle are slow-fast oscillations. In the case of Model 2, the outer limit cycle is unstable and the inner one is stable. With another set of parameters, the outer limit cycle can be made stable and the inner one unstable.

We consider a model of predator-prey interaction at fractional-order where the predation obeys the ratio-dependent functional response and the prey is linearly harvested. For the proposed model, we show the existence, uniqueness, non-negativity as well as the boundedness of the solutions. Conditions for the existence of all possible equilibrium points and their stability criteria, both locally and globally, are also investigated. The local stability conditions are derived using the Magtinon's theorem, while the global stability is proven by formulating an appropriate Lyapunov function. The occurance of Hopf bifurcation around the interior point is also shown analytically. At the end, we implement the Predictor-Corrector scheme to perform some numerical simulations.

Infectious diseases continue to be a significant threat to human health and civilization, and finding effective methods to combat them is crucial. In this research, we investigate the impact of awareness campaigns and optimal control techniques on infectious diseases without proper vaccines. Specifically, we develop an SIRS type mathematical model that incorporates awareness campaigns through media and treatment for disease transmission dynamics and control. The model displays two equilibria, a disease-free equilibrium and an endemic equilibrium, and exhibits Hopf bifurcation when the bifurcation parameter exceeds its critical value, causing a switch in the stability of the system. We also propose an optimal control problem that minimizes the cost of control measures while achieving a desired level of disease control. By applying the minimum principle to the optimal control problem, we obtain analytical and numerical results that show how the infection rate of the disease affects the stability of the system and how awareness campaigns and treatment can maintain system stability. This study highlights the importance of awareness campaigns in controlling infectious diseases and demonstrates the effectiveness of optimal control theory in achieving disease control with minimal cost.

To investigate the impact of a magnetic field on plaque development in a stenotic bifurcated artery, a finite element method is utilized. The blood flow is modelled as a stable, incompressible, Newtonian, biomagnetic, and laminar fluid. Furthermore, the arterial wall is assumed to be linear elastic. The Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) method is employed to describe the hemodynamic flow in a bifurcated artery under the influence of an asymmetric magnetic field, taking into account two-way fluid-structure interaction coupling. A stable $P_2P_1$ finite element pair discretizes a nonlinear system of partial differential equations that requires a solution. The Newton-Raphson method is utilized to find a solution to the resulting nonlinear algebraic equation system. Numerical modelling is used to simulate the presence of magnetic fields, and the resulting displacement, velocity magnitude, pressure, and wall shear stresses are shown for a range of Reynolds numbers ($Re = 500$, $1000$, $1500$, and $2000$). The results of the numerical analysis demonstrate that the presence of a magnetic field has a significant effect not only on the magnitude of displacement but also on the velocity of the flow. The application of a magnetic field reduces flow separation, extends the recirculation area near the stenosis, and increases wall shear stress.

Mathematical modeling is crucial in investigating the pandemic of the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The primary target area of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is epithelial cells in the human lower repertory track. During this viral infection, infected cells can initiate innate and adaptive immune responses to viral infection. Immune response in COVID -19 infection can lead to longer recovery time and more severe secondary complications. We formulate a target cell limited mathematical model by incorporating a saturation term for SARS-CoV-2 infected epithelial cell loss reliant on infected cell levels. Forward and backward bifurcation between disease-free and endemic equilibrium points has been analyzed. Global stability of both disease-free and endemic equilibrium is provided. We have seen that the disease-free equilibrium is globally stable for $R_0<1$, and endemic equilibrium exists and is globally stable for $R_0>1$. Impulsive application of drug dosing has been applied for the treatment of covid-19 patients. Also, the dynamics of the impulsive system are discussed when a patient takes drug holidays. The numerical simulations are performed in support of our analytical findings and for the qualitative analysis of the system's dynamics with and without impulse drug dosing.

Continuation methods are presented that are capable of treating frequency-domain flutter equations including multiple nonlinearities represented by describing functions. A small problem demonstrates how a series of continuation processes can find all limit-cycle oscillations within a specified region with a reasonable degree of confidence. Curves of the limit-cycle amplitude variation with velocity, indicating regions of stability and instability with colors give a compact view of the nonlinear behavior throughout the flight regime. A continuation technique for reducing limit-cycle amplitudes by adjusting various system parameters is presented. These processes are economical enough to be a routine part of aircraft design and certification.

The Chen circuit system, a three-dimensional autonomous system with intriguing dynamics, has gained considerable attention due to its potential applications in diverse scientific fields. In this article, a Chen circuit-like system is defined and a comprehensive dynamics has been studied. The system exhibits chaotic dynamics, limit cycles, and bifurcations, making it a captivating subject of study. By employing numerical simulations and analytical techniques, we explore the system's stability and identify critical parameter values leading to qualitative changes. Notably, we delve Hopf bifurcations, which give rise to stability changes and the emergence of limit cycles. Furthermore, we analyze the fractal dimension of the system's attractor, providing insights into its complexity and self-similarity. Through a systematic examination of the Chen circuit-like system, we deepen our understanding of its intricate dynamics and offer valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms. The findings contribute to the field of dynamical systems and hold potential implications in areas such as chaos-based secure communications, signal processing, and nonlinear control. This work serves as a valuable reference for researchers and practitioners interested in the dynamics and bifurcation analysis of nonlinear systems.

We firstly discuss classical stability for a dynamical system of two ions levitated in a 3D Radio-Frequency (RF) trap, assimilated with two coupled oscillators. We obtain the solutions of the coupled system of equations that characterizes the associated dynamics. In addition, we supply the modes of oscillation and demonstrate the weak coupling condition is inappropriate in practice, while for collective modes of motion (and strong coupling) only a peak of the mass can be detected. Phase portraits and power spectra are employed to illustrate how the trajectory executes quasiperiodic motion on the surface of torus, namely a Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser (KAM) torus. In an attempt to better describe dynamical stability of the system, we introduce a model that characterizes dynamical stability and the critical points based on the Hessian matrix approach. The model is then applied to investigate quantum dynamics for many-body systems consisting of identical ions, levitated in 2D and 3D ion traps. Finally, the same model is applied to the case of a combined 3D Quadrupole Ion Trap (QIT) with axial symmetry, for which we obtain the associated Hamilton function. The ion distribution can be described by means of numerical modeling, based on the Hamilton function we assign to the system. The approach we introduce is effective to infer the parameters of distinct types of traps by applying a unitary and coherent method, and especially for identifying equilibrium configurations, of large interest for ion crystals or quantum logic.

We here investigate the dynamical behavior of a fractional-order predator-prey system with anti-predator behavior and Holling IV type functional response. First we study the non-negativity, existence, uniqueness, and boundedness of solutions to the system from a mathematical analysis perspective. Then, we analyze the stability of its equilibrium points and the possibility of bifurcations using stability analysis methods and bifurcation theory, and prove the existence of a supercritical Hopf bifurcation in the system. After providing numerical simulations to illustrate the conclusions theoretically derived, by summarizing those various analytical results obtained, we finally present three interesting conclusions that can contribute to better understanding and preservation of ecological systems.

The definition, origin and recreation of life remain elusive. As others have suggested, only once we put life into reductionist physical terms will we be able to solve those questions. To that end, this work proposes the phenomenon of life to be the product of two dissipative mechanisms. From them, one reinterprets extant biological life and deduces a testable scenario for its origin. The proposed theory of life allows its replication, reinterprets ecological evolution, creates new constraints on the search for life and lays the foundations for groundbreaking technologies.

The renewable energy source plays a major role in the grid side power production. The stability analysis is very essential in the renewable energy converters. In this paper the bifurcation is analyzed in ZETA converter and Continuous input and output(CIO) power Buck Boost converter. The ZETA converter gives positive step down and step up output voltage and the CIO power converter gives the negative step up and step down output voltage. These converters are used in the DC micro grid with renewable energy as the source. The current mode control technique is applied to analyze the bifurcation behavior and the reference current is taken as the bifurcation parameter. When the reference current is varied, both the converters loses its stability and it enters into chaotic region through period doubling bifurcation. The simulation results are presented to study the performance behavior of both the converters. The stability region of both the converters are determined by deriving the Monodromy matrix approach.

In this work, an analytical and numerical analysis of the transition to chaos in five nonlinear systems of ordinary and partial differential equations, which are models of the autocatalytic chemical processes and the numbers of interacting populations, is carried out. It is analytically and numerically shown that in all considered systems of equations, further complication of the dynamics of solutions and the transition to chemical and biological turbulence is carried out in full accordance with the universal Feigenbaum-Sharkovsky-Magnitskii bifurcation theory through subharmonic and homoclinic cascades of bifurcations of stable limit cycles. In this case, irregular (chaotic) attractors in all cases are exclusively singular attractors in the sense of the FShM theory.

The main idea of this paper is to investigate the exact solutions and dynamic properties in optical nanofibers, which is modeled by space-time fractional perturbed nonlinear schr\"odinger equation involving Kerr law nonlinearity with conformal fractional derivative. Firstly, by the complex fractional traveling wave transformation, the traveling wave system of the original equation is obtained, then a conserved quantity, namely the Hamiltonian is constructed, and the qualitative analysis of this system is conducted via this quantity by classifying the equilibrium points. Moreover, the prior estimate of the existence of the soliton and periodic solution is established via the bifurcation method. Furthermore, all exact traveling wave solutions are constructed to illustrate our results explicitly by the complete discrimination system for polynomial method.
