Recently, many authors have been interested to introduce fuzzy implications over t-norms and t-conorms. In this paper, we introduce (S,N) and residuum fuzzy implication for Dubois t-norm and Hamacher's t-norm. Also, new concepts so-called (T,N) and residual fuzzy co-implication in dual Heyting Algebra are investigated. Some examples as well as application are discussed as well.

The occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of our routine life. Here, we briefly reveal the less paid attention aspect, vocabulary. We extracted words from online news outlets during the first three months of the pandemic. The extracted words included many aspects, which we categorised into eight classes according to their functions and implications. We found out the top three dominant classes of vocabularies with the highest frequency compared to others, namely medical, economic and governance. The temporality in the pandemic timeline was vital in making sense of the predominant vocabulary. This paper is a rare preliminary report which provides a valuable insight into future articles with much more comprehensive data and analysis.

The phenomenon of vaccine hesitancy is a growing threat to public health with far-reaching implications. The widening gap between the vaccinated and the proportion needed for herd immunity raises two critical research questions that are of interest to practitioners, researchers, and policymakers: (1) What determines one’s decision to be vaccinated? and (2) What is the implication of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy on economic recovery? In this study, we use empirical data in the context of South Africa to investigate factors affecting COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and their implications for economic recovery. Findings reveal key socio-demographic and institutional drivers of COVD-9 vaccine hesitancy, which include age (the youth are more hesitant), inadequate information on the vaccine (those who perceive they have adequate information are vaccinated), trust issues in government institutions, conspiracy beliefs, vaccine-related factors, and perceived side effects associated with the vaccine. Additionally, an individual’s decision to remain hesitant about COVID-19 vaccination has implications for businesses and the economy by limiting movement and trade, increasing unemployment, and causing a resurgence of new variants. Based on the findings, action plans such as information dissemination, convenience vaccination centers, consistency communications, and targeted campaign strategies are recommended for improving vaccine intakes and a positive economic recovery.

Abstract The article discusses about the current situation of Novel Corona Virus also called as the COVID-19 that hinder for all human’s life including the education. Rapidly escalating COVID-19, has caused havoc in quality education and every educational institution are closed. As the UNESCO report it showed that 1.6 billion children being affected due to the close of institution across 191 countries. With the alternative method every education institution started blended learning virtual classes in order to continue learning environment in students. The articles investigate COVID-19 impact on student’s quality education in Nepal and social work implication. The findings of the study shows that the COVID-19 has seriously effects on the students learning environment. It showed the huge gap between getting the good education in Nepal. However, Nepal has also made some policies to provide equal quality education to all the children through the ICT and also encourage social work to actively participate on providing education to all the majority of group children in Nepal. Whereas social work applied the micro, messo, and macro level of implication in practice to provide the education for children in remote area of Nepal.

This article obtains data through questionnaire survey, and then uses the Multiple Indicators Multiple Causes (MIMIC) Model to establish the Taoyuan City’s quality of life quantifying framework in a city-level community context. Statistical test results show that the reliability of overall model is high and is suitable for policy analysis. There are thirteen variables in the structural model that significantly affect the quality of life as well as eleven indicators in the measurement model that can significantly measure the quality of life. Then, half of the observations are substituted back to calculate the quality of life. Via ArcGis operation, it finds that the quality of life of Longtan District is the best as well as Dayuan District is the worst one. LISA cluster of quality of life illustrates hot spots areas are distributed in Longtan, Daxi, and Pingzhen Districts.

Automated vehicles (AVs), which are expected to enter the market within the near future, represent the current frontiers in mobility and urban planning. AVs are assumed to bring substantial benefits to cities in many aspects. The present study attempts to investigate this broad assumption by conducting a literature review on the possible implications of AVs in cities as well as synthesizing the current state of practice of AV pilots to detect trends in their deployment. In this paper, literature findings on AVs’ implication on vehicle ownership, mobility, land use as well thirteen uses cases were synthesized to capture the big picture of them in cities. The findings showed that, in the AV pilots, the operation of AVs is limited to routes stretching less than 3.5km and an operation speed of less than 18km/h; low speed has been one of the main concerns of the participating passengers to use them for daily trips. The results also revealed that although shared AVs are expected in urban mobility, private ownership will stay competitive since vehicle ownership has been a socio-cultural identity in the history of automobiles. The findings also underlined that the potential influence of AVs on active mobility is still unclear as the AVs have not been introduced on a larger scale. Regarding AVs’ impact on land use, their introduction results in the effective use of space, but they will cause suburbanization in the long term.

EGFR mutations are heterogenous but all carry the same weighting in the Lung-molGPA. The aim of this study was to elucidate the different prognostic implications of molecular subtypes and frontline TKIs in EGFR-mutated lung adenocarcinoma with synchronous brain metastases (BM) using the Lung-molGPA. Medical records were searched in hospital databases from 2011 to 2015. Patients with EGFR-mutated adenocarcinoma and brain metastases who received TKIs were included. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate survival, and multivariate Cox proportional hazard models were used to estimate adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). A total of 256 patients were included with a median overall survival (OS) of 17.2 months. In multivariate analysis of OS, only age (70 versus <70 years, HR:1.71, 95% CI:1.25-2.35, p<0.001), KPS (<70 versus 70, HR:1.71, 95% CI:1.26-2.31, p<0.001), and rare mutations (other versus exon 19 deletions, HR:1.78, 95% CI:1.04-3.05, p=0.037) remained statistically significant. In patients with a Lung-molGPA score 2.5, EGFR molecular subtypes had different median OS (exon 19 deletions versus Leu858Arg versus other, 18.8 vs 12.4 vs 12.1 months, p=0.021). In conclusion, different molecular subtypes treated with frontline TKIs have different prognostic implications in the Lung-molGPA. Further prospective studies are warranted to validate these findings.

The capability of the complex fuzzy sets plays a valuable role to resolve many real life problems. In this paper, we present the compositions of complex fuzzy relations by using the idea of implication operators and max-product compositions of complex fuzzy relations and illustrate these compositions with concrete examples. The converse of these newly invented triangular compositions in terms of compositions of the converse relations are also defined. We also study the interactions with union and intersection. The main goal of this article to present a new technique to enhance medical diagnostic model that can assist to increase the features of healthcare systems. We utilize these compositions to determine the diseases of patients on the basis of intensity of symptoms.

Background: Delivery of quality family planning services depends on availability of skilled health care providers, which is often a challenge in Low- and middle-income countries. This study evaluates the effects of a targeted training program on family planning services delivered by the Lady Health Workers (LHWs) in six districts of Punjab, Pakistan. The primary goal was to enhance the quality and accessibility of family planning services, recognizing the pivotal role of LHWs in community health. Methods: Using a robust panel data difference-in-differences (DiD) approach, we analyzed the electronic medical records (EMR) of 1,410 LHWs over a nine-month period. This timeframe in-cluded both pre-training (July to December 2022) and post-training (April to June 2023) phases. Our assessment focused on the impact of training on five outcome variables: the number of follow-up clients, the number of Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD) clients, the number of condom clients, the number of modern method clients, and the number of injection clients. We also con-sidered control variables such as LHW age, LHW education, the number of eligible couples in each LHW's catchment area, and a categorical variable for the districts. Results: The positive and statistically significant (p<0.05) coefficients across various service cat-egories – Follow Up Clients [Coeff: 1.00, CI: (0.30 - 1.70)], IUCD Clients [Coeff: 0.23, CI: (-0.01 - 0.46)], Condom Clients [Coeff: 1.41, CI: (0.97 – 1.86)], Modern Method Clients [Coeff: 1.82, CI: (0.96 – 2.68)], and Injection Clients [Coeff: 0.32, CI: (0.14 – 0.50)]. These findings indicate enhanced productivity among LHWs who have received training, with results significant at the 95% con-fidence interval (CI). Conclusion: The study highlights the effectiveness of targeted training programs in boosting family planning services at the community level and offers insightful implications for policy-makers and health practitioners. While focused on six districts in Punjab, these promising results emphasize the need for ongoing training and support for frontline health workers to bolster family planning initiatives.

Resistance to therapy and disease progression are the main causes of mortality in most cancers. In particular, the development of resistance is an important limitation affecting the efficacy of therapeutic alternatives for cancer, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy. Signaling pathways are largely responsible for the mechanisms of resistance to cancer treatment and progression, and multiple myeloma is no exception. p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38) is downstream of several signaling pathways specific to treatment resistance and progression. Therefore, in recent years, developing therapeutic alternatives directed at p38 MAPK has been of great interest, in order to reverse chemotherapy resistance and prevent progression. In this review, we discuss recent findings on the role of p38, including recent advances in our understanding of its expression and activity as well as its isoforms, and its possible clinical role based on the mechanisms of resistance and progression in multiple myeloma.

Bringing toghether mathematical and philosophical ideas related to transcendental numbers, this paper begins with a survey on transcendence and transcendental numbers, it then presents several properties of the transcendental numbers e and π, and then it gives the proof of a new inequality for transcendental numbers. Also, in relationship with these topics, we study solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation from hyperbolic functions and from logical implication.

This research work is an extension of a previous work in which the authors created an innovative family of fuzzy implication using as t-conorm probor, as fuzzy negation the 1-x and the type of Newton's binomial. The purpose of this paper is to compare the type of fuzzy implication probor with three other constructed fuzzy implications produced by max, Einstein and Lukasiewicz t-conorms maintaining in each case the same negation. T-conorms perform the fuzzy logical operation "or" of the corresponding fuzzy sets. The main methods used for the comparisons are the basic axioms of fuzzy logic. The authors performed six combinations of t-conorm comparisons, in order to find the rank order of the five fuzzy implications. Although the general type of fuzzy implication probor came out smaller than Hamacher, Einstein and Lukasiewicz and the type of Einstein smaller than Lukasiewicz authors make extensive tests using four different membership functions and different values to the parameter m so as to examine which out of the four fuzzy implications receive the best results. The application of isosceles trapezium to the fuzzy implications probor and Einstein give the best values (most values greater than or equal to 0.9 and equal to 1).

The gastrointestinal tract is colonized by trillions of different microorganisms, named the gut microbiota, which is key to degrade undigested food such as dietary fibers. The fermentation of these food components leads to the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) acetate, propionate, and butyrate, which exploit several beneficial roles for the host’s health. Their production and absorption happen in different ways in the human intestine and depend on the type of dietary fiber reaching the gut and the microorganisms involved in the fermentation. The supplementation of SCFAs, mostly butyrate, in treating gastrointestinal, metabolic, cardiovascular, and gut-brain-related diseases has been reported in the medical literature. This review aims to give an overview of the production and absorption dynamics of acetate, propionate, and butyrate in the human gut, with a final focus on the role played by these SCFAs on gastrointestinal and metabolic health and the present therapeutic implications.

The II law of thermodynamics is most often given in three supposedly equivalent formulations: two Clausius (I and II) and one Kelvin. The most general and indisputable entropy formulation belong to Clausius (II). The earlier Clausius I principle determines the natural direction heat flow between bodies at different temperatures. On the other hand, the Kelvin principle states that it is impossible to completely convert heat into work. The author argues that the Kelvin principle is a weaker statement (or more strictly non-equivalent) than Clausius I principle, and the latter is a weaker statement than Carnot principle, which is equivalent to Clausius II principle. As a result, the Kelvin principle and the Clausius I principle are not exhaustive formulations of the II law of thermodynamics. At the same time, it turns out that the Carnot principle becomes such a formulation. Apart from providing a complete set of proof and disproof, the author, indicates where the methodological errors were made in the alleged proof of the equivalence of the Kelvin principle and both Clausius principles.
