Abstract
This preliminary proposal suggests an educational approach built on two complementary foundations: deep, intuitive understanding of a selected set of fundamental concepts taught by a human lecturer, and explicit AI-assisted self-learning by students to support lifelong independent learning using the best generally available AI tools as they evolve. These two foundations support a third capability - engineering and scientific judgment. An ‘Analog Electronic Circuits’ course is proposed as an initial test case.
