The Influence of Water-to-Surfactant Ratio on the Synthesis and Characterization of LaFeO₃ Ortho-Ferrite Nanoparticles

Abstract
.Lanthanum orthoferrite perovskite-type LaFeO3 (LFO) was successfully synthesized at room temperature (RT) using the reverse micelle method (RM) with different water-to-surfactant ratios. Into the implementation of this study, we used various characterization techniques such as the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, and dielectric and impedance spectroscopy LCR meter. TGA and DSC measurements were used to determine the LFO thermal properties. UV-visible is used to examine the various optical properties of LFO such as optical bandgap energy (Eg), absorption and extinction coefficients, Urbach energy (Eu), and threshold wavelength. The dielectric properties and impedance spectra were also studied in detail.
