Our First Decade of Open Research Sharing, Together

Conceived long before its launch, the idea behind Preprints.org dates back to 1998, when MDPI registered the domain www.preprints.net and planned a service to collect draft manuscripts. The idea is realized in 2016 with the launch of Preprints.org.
Ten years later, we have grown into a global platform where researchers share work, exchange feedback, and advance open knowledge together. As we celebrate our first decade, we look back at what the community has built and invite you to join us with what comes next.

Preprints.org provides a valuable open platform for me to publish my original "Entropy-Resisting System" theory, allowing my ideas on consciousness continuity and digital immortality to be shared and discussed with the global academic community, laying a solid foundation for the further development

You are fundamental in a world where freedom needs a voice to continue existing, and you are that voice. I'm deeply grateful to you for the opportunity you gave me. Science is an act of love for humanity, and what you have been to the world is a channel for this love. Thought is an act of resistance
Dr. Gianfranco Carotenuto

Publishing my first preprint as a young researcher felt daunting, but Preprints.org showed me that ideas matter more than titles. Seeing others read and respond gave me confidence and inspired me to keep pursuing science. Science is now open to everyone… a pleasant surprise!
Dr. Yevheniia Babenko

Although I only recently joined Preprints.org, I believe it is a true embodiment of open access and open science, allowing unrestricted flow of ideas and establishing a functional repository for all researchers. I hope Preprints.org continues its mission for many decades. Happy Anniversary!
