Understanding the spatial distribution pattern and evolution characteristics of the elderly population in urban areas is of great significance for the development of urban planning and the implementation of public management policies in the context of rapid aging. Accurately identifying the spatial distribution and evolution characteristics of the elderly population in the city requires a comprehensive analysis of multiple indicators and large-scale data. Taking Wuhan city as an example, this article measures the spatial distribution characteristics and evolution trend of the elderly population from 2000 to 2020 at the street/township level, based on the fifth, sixth, and seventh census data, using methods such as kernel density hotspot detection, spatial clustering analysis, and standard deviation ellipse analysis. The results show that: ① there are significant differences in the aging spatial pattern between the central area and the suburban areas of Wuhan; ② overall, Wuhan's aging rate shows a typical "core-periphery" growth mode in space, while the density of the elderly population has significant spatial aggregation characteristics and shows an evolution trend of "centralized concentration, peripheral outliers, axial development, and near-field growth"; ③the center of gravity of the elderly population remains relatively stable over time.

The combination of new-generation information technology and manufacturing technology has resulted in major and profound impact on future development paradigm of manufacturing. It is challenging for existing methods to conduct a multidimensional trend exploration related to machine tool domain, which is the basis of virtually everything in manufacturing. In this paper, we proposed an integrating approach framework combined topic models, bibliometric, trend analysis and patent analysis to mine insightful information about future development from multi-source data related to machine tool, such as papers, grants, patents and news. Specifically, papers and grants provided two different perspectives to explore the current focuses and future trends in machine tool research. Furthermore, the future technology development of machine tool was investigated through patents analysis. Finally, news related to machine tool industry in recent years was analyzed to analyze future machine tool business mode. The integration of the above various analytical methods and the multi-dimensional mining of literatures enabled the analysis of the future development of machine tool domain systematically from multi-perspectives which include research, technology development and industry. The conclusions obtained in this paper is beneficial to different communities of machine tool in terms of determining the research directions for researchers, identifying industry opportunities for corporations and developing reasonable industry policy for policy makers.

Polyphenols have been shown to possess outstanding anti-obesity properties. In this study, the effect of blue honeysuckle berry extract (BHBE) with high polyphenol content on lipid accumulation in adipocytes and the underlying mechanism were investigated for the first time. Composition analysis demonstrated that flavonoids (mainly flavonols and anthocyanins) were the primary polyphenols in BHBE, which contributed to its biological functions. The results of Oil Red O staining combined with triglyceride (TG) content determination showed that BHBE exhibited an obvious inhibitory effect on intracellular lipid accumulation in a dose-dependent manner. BHBE also reduced the protein level of fatty acid synthase (FAS) and increased the phosphorylation level of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), indicating that lipogenesis was suppressed by BHBE treatment. Moreover, BHBE was found to significantly promote the phosphorylation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and further reduce the expression of key transcription factors (PPARγ, C/EBPα, and SREBP-1c) that regulate lipogenesis. In addition, the expression of beige adipocyte markers (Tmem26 and Cd137) and uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1) was increased in BHBE-treated adipocytes. In summary, we consider that BHBE inhibits lipid accumulation in adipocytes by suppressing lipogenesis as well as by promoting beiging of adipocytes. These results support blue honeysuckle berry as a candidate functional food against obesity.

Splines and quasi-interpolation operators are important both in approximation theory and applications. In this paper, we construct a family of quasi-interpolation operators for the bivariate quintic spline spaces S₅³ (∆_mn⁽²⁾). Moreover, the properties of the proposed quasi-interpolation operators are studied, as well as its applications for solving two-dimensional Burgers’ equation and image reconstruction. Some numerical examples show that these methods, which are easy to implement, provide accurate results.
