Background: Redo mitral valve surgery is the standard of care for failed mitral bioprostheses or recurrence of mitral regurgitation after repair. Nonetheless, catheterbased valve-in-valve (ViV) or valve-in-ring (ViR)-procedures increasingly become viable alternatives in high risk subpopula-tions. Despite reported good initial results, only little is known about longer-term outcomes. The present series report long-term outcomes of transcatheter mitral ViV- and ViR-procedures. Methods: All consecutive patients (n=54) undergoing transcatheter mitral ViV- or ViR-procedures for failed bioprostheses or recurring regurgitation after mitral repair were retrospectively en-rolled in the time period between 2011 and 2021. The mean age was 76.5 ± 6.5 years, and 30 (55.6%) of the patients were male. The procedures were done using a commercially available balloon-expandable transcatheter heart valve. Clinical and echocardiographic follow-up data were obtained out of the hospital’s database and analyzed. Follow-up reached up to 9.9 years with a total of 164.3 patient-years. Results: A total 25 patients received a ViV- and 29 patients a ViR-procedure. Both groups were at high surgical risk with an STS-PROM of 5.9 ± 3.7 % in ViV- and 8.7 ± 9.0% in ViR-patients, respectively (p<0.01). The procedures itself were mainly unevent-ful with no intraoperative deaths and a low conversion rate (n=2/54; 3.7%). VARC-2 procedural success was low (ViV 20.0% and ViR 10.3%; p=0.45), which was either driven by high rates of transvalvular pressure gradients “>5mmHg” (ViV 92.0% and ViR 27.6%; p<0.01) or residual regurgitation “>trace” (ViV 28.0% and ViR 82.7%; p<0.01). ICU-stay was prolonged in both groups (ViV 3.8 ± 6.8 days and ViR 4.3 ± 6.3 days; p=0.96) with acceptable hospital stay (ViV 9.9 ± 5.9 days and ViR 13.5 ± 8.0 days; p=0.13). Despite 30-days mortality was acceptable (ViV 4.0% and ViR 6.9%; p=1.00), the mean posthospital survival time was disappointingly low (ViV 3.9 ± 2.6 years and ViR 2.3 ± 2.7 years; p<0.01). Overall survival I the entire group was 33.3%.Cardiac reasons for death were frequent in both groups (ViV 38.5% and ViR 52.2%). Cox-regression analysis identified ViR-procedures as a predictor of mortality (HR 2.36, CI 1.19 - 4.67, p=0.01). Conclusions: Despite acceptable immediate outcomes in this high-risk subpopulation, long-terms results are discouraging. Transvalvular pressure gradients as well as residual regurgitations remained drawbacks in this real-world population. The indication for catheterbased mitral ViV- or ViR-procedures thoughtfully must be made in consideration of conventional redo-surgery or conservative treatment.

Outcome of redo-mitral valve replacement in the small mitral annulus with the use of the chimney technology is not well documented. From 2019 to 2020, 77 consecutive patients underwent redo-mitral valve replacement with the use of the chimney technology because of a small mitral annulus. To evaluate heart structural integrity and clinical outcomes, postoperative clinical data and echocardiograms were examined. Mean age was 56.7 ± 15.98 years. All patients underwent mitral valve surgery of which 62 were mitral valve replacements, 7 mitral valve repairs, and 8 double valve replacements. Preoperative Mitral valve mean gradient was 18.07 ± 9.40 mmHg. Postoperative mitral prosthesis size 28.51 ± 1.22 mm. The median increment of mitral size enlargement was 4 (0, 6) valve sizes. Mean mitral gradient coming out of the operating room was 10.34 ± 2.12 mmHg and at follow-up echocardiogram performed at 3 years after the procedure was 10.36 ± 1.70 mmHg. One-year survival was 93.3%, while 4-year survival was 89.3% with no reoperation. Use of the chimney technology in small mitral valve re-mitral valve replacement results in larger valve sizes. Moreover, the mean gradients over the mitral valve are acceptable intraoperatively and over time.

In our exploration of percutaneous mitral valve repair (PMVR) alongside conditions like atrial fibrillation (AF), we uncover a fascinating and complex relationship that significantly impacts patient outcomes. Our journey through various studies, including patient registries, meta-analyses, and cohort investigations, reveals the intricate interplay between AF and PMVR. Despite the advancements in PMVR techniques, AF adds layers of complexity, influencing procedural success rates, long-term clinical outcomes, and post-operative complications. While some studies suggest that AF may not heavily affect short-term results, others highlight its association with increased risks of mortality, heart failure hospitalization, and post-PMVR adverse events. Our exploration also delves into the anatomical and remodeling changes induced by PMVR, shedding light on the importance of understanding how AF interacts with cardiac chamber remodeling. Along the way, we acknowledge the limitations inherent in such research, including data variability, publication bias, and potential confounding factors, urging a cautious approach to interpreting findings. Through this review, we offer valuable insights into the challenges and considerations surrounding AF in the context of PMVR. Our hope is that these insights will guide clinicians and researchers as they navigate this complex landscape, ultimately enhancing patient care and outcomes in the realm of mitral valve repair.

Mitral valve disease is a common heart disease in dogs. The aim of this study was to describe the cases of dogs who underwent mitral valve repair using a v-clamp device and to provide their long-term follow-up data on cardiac function after mitral valve repair. Four dogs with mitral valve regurgitation who experienced coughing and dyspnea underwent surgical mitral valve repair between December 2023 and June 2024. The patients were evaluated by transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. Echocardiography revealed mitral valve leaflet regurgitation. Mitral valve repair was performed under general anesthesia using a v-clamp device introduced through an introducer wire guide. Echocardiography was conducted at baseline and the 6-month follow-up. Blood analysis results after surgical repair were normal. Follow-up echocardiography revealed no complications related to the procedure, with all dogs demonstrating improved respiratory signs and quality of life after repair. No adverse reactions were reported after surgery. A v-clamp device was used to repair mitral valve regurgitation in four dogs. Mitral valve repair using a v-clamp device is another treatment option for mitral valve disease in dogs.

Degenerative mitral valve disease (DMVD) consists of progressive degeneration of the mitral valve that can occur either in isolation or in association with the tricuspid valve, leading to incomplete coaptation of its leaflets and subsequent valve regurgitation. It's the most common cardiac condition in small animals, accounting for about 75% of cases of heart disease in dogs, mainly affecting elderly small-breed dogs. Breeds with a genetic predisposition such as Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Bull Terriers tend to develop the disease early. It can be classified into 4 stages: A, B, C, and D, with B having subdivisions (B1 and B2). Animals in stages A, B1, and B2 are asymptomatic, showing clinical signs only from stage C onwards. The report details the case of a 13-year-old Fox Terrier diagnosed at stage B2 of the disease, progressing to stage C within two years. A cardiologist conducted annual monitoring.

: Inflammation may mediate the association of mitral valve prolapse (MVP) with ventricular scarring and arrhythmia. The purpose of this study is to investigate the association of neutrophil- and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratios (NLR, PLR) with ventricular arrhythmia in MVP. Clinical and demographic data were extracted from electronic medical records for all patients aged 18-90 years with MVP on echocardiography between 2016-19 at our institution. We studied 65 patients who had a differential blood count within six months prior to ambulatory ECG (A- ECG) (medi-an age [IQR] 70 [61-77] years; 62% female; 12% African American). Patients with surgery or in-fection within six months prior to CBC were excluded. Complex or frequent ventricular ectopy (cfVE) was defined as the presence of two or more premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) on a 10-second ECG tracing or greater than 1% PVC burden or NSVT on ambulatory ECG monitoring. Logistic and bivariate regression was used to analyze clinical, electrocardiographic and echo-cardiographic factors associated with NLR and PLR. Factors associated with higher NLR were congestive heart failure (p=0.005), male sex (p=0.01), age (p=0.003), and bileaflet MVP (p=0.04). NLR was associated with higher absolute PVC burden (rs=0.28, p=0.03) and cfVE (median NLR [IQR] 3.0 [1.6 – 6.3]) with cfVE versus (2.4 [1.4-3.4], p=0.04) without cfVE. An NLR of 5.6 yielded 50% sensitivity and 90% specificity for PVC burden >1% (AUC 0.69). No significant association was found between PLR and PVC burden or cfVE. NLR is associated with PVC burden and com-plex ventricular ectopy in MVP, suggesting that inflammation is a significant factor in the patho-genesis of ventricular arrhythmia in this condition.

Infective endocarditis (IE) is a life-threatening condition caused by infection within the endocardium of the heart, and commonly involves the valves. The subsequent cascading inflammation leads to the appearance of a highly friable thrombus that is large enough to become lodged within the heart chambers. As a result, fever, fatigue, heart murmurs, and embolization phenomena may be seen in patients with IE. Embolization results in the seeding of bacteria, and obstruction of circulation, causing cell ischemia. Of concern, bacteria with the potential to gain pan-drug resistance, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), are increasingly being identified as the causative agent of IE in hospitals and among intravenous drug abusers. We retrospectively reviewed de-identified clinical data to summarize the clinical course of a patient with MRSA isolated using an automated blood culture system. At the time of presentation, the patient showed a poor consciousness level, and the calculated Glasgow scale was 10/15. A high-grade fever with circulatory shock indicated an occult infection, and a systolic murmur was observed with peripheral signs of embolization. This case demonstrated the emerging threat of antimicrobial resistance in the community, and revealed clinical findings of IE that may be helpful to clinicians for the early recognition of the disease. The management of such cases requires a multi-specialty approach, which is not widely available in small island developing states like the Maldives.

Objective: We reviewed the available literature on patients undergoing minimally invasive mitral valve surgery (MIMVS) with either transthoracic clamping (TTC) or endoaortic balloon occlusion (EABO). Methods: Original research studies that evaluated the perioperative outcomes of TTC versus EABO group were identified, from 2000 to 2024. The incidence of all-cause mortality, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), and aortic dissections were the primary endpoints. The cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), cross-clamp, and ventilation time, along with the incidence of conversion to sternotomy, re-exploration, new-onset atrial fibrillation (AF), postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI), ICU stay, and LOS were the secondary endpoints. Subgroup analyses were performed regarding EABO cannulation approach (femoral and aortic) and MIMVS approach (video-assisted and robotic-assisted). Sensitivity analyses were performed including risk-adjusted populations and with the leave-one-out method. Results: Sixteen studies were included in the qualitative and quantitative synthesis. After pooling data from 6,335 patients, both groups demonstrated similar outcomes on all primary and secondary endpoints in the non-adjusted and adjusted total cohort analyses. These outcomes were further validated by the leave-one-out sensitivity analysis. In addition, the aortic cannulation EABO was associated with lower cross-clamp time, followed by TTC and femoral cannulation EABO approach. Furthermore, in the video-assisted subgroup analysis, the EABO approach was associated with a higher incidence of CVA, conversion to sternotomy, and longer ICU stay compared to the TTC group. Conclusions: The present meta-analysis indicates that both aortic occlusion techniques are safe and feasible in the context of MIMVS. A future well-designed Randomized-Control Trial should further validate the current outcomes.

Background. Minimally invasive surgery via right mini-thoracotomy has become the standard of care for the treatment of mitral valve disease worldwide, particularly at high volume centers. In recent years, the spectrum of indications has progressively shifted and extended to fragile and higher risk patients, also addressing more complex mitral valve disease and ultimately including patients with native or prosthetic infective endocarditis. The rationale for the adoption of the minimally invasive approach is to minimize the surgical trauma, promote an earlier postoperative recovery and reduce the incidence of surgical wound infection and other nosocomial infections. The aim of this retrospective observational study is to evaluate the effectiveness and the early and late outcome in patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery for mitral valve infective endocarditis. Methods. Prospectically collected data regarding minimally invasive surgery in patients with mitral valve infective endocarditis were entered into a dedicated database for the period between January 2007 and December 2022 and retrospectively analyzed. All comers during the study period underwent a preoperative evaluation based upon clinical history and anatomy for the allocation to the most appropriate surgical strategy. Selection for the mini-thoracotomy approach was primarily driven by a thorough transthoracic and especially transesophageal echocardiographic evaluation, coupled with total body and vascular imaging. Results. During the study period, 92 patients underwent right mini-thoracotomy to treat native (80/92, 87%) or prosthetic (12/92, 13%) mitral valve endocarditis at our institution, representing 5% of the patients undergoing minimally invasive mitral surgery. Twenty-six (28%) patients had undergone previous cardiac operations, whereas 18 (20%) presented preoperatively with complications related to endocarditis, most commonly systemic embolization. Sixty-nine and 23 patients, respectively, underwent early surgery (75%) or were operated on after the completion of targeted antibiotic treatment (25%). A conservative procedure was feasible in 16/80 (20%) patients with native valve endocarditis. Conversion to standard sternotomy was necessary in a single case (1.1%). No cases of intraoperative iatrogenic aortic dissection were reported. Four patients died perioperatively, accounting for a thirty-day mortality of 4.4%. Causes of death were refractory heart or multiorgan failure and/or septic shock. New onset stroke was observed postoperatively in one case (1.1%). Overall actuarial survival rate at 1 and 5 years after operation was 90.8% and 80.4%, whereas freedom from mitral valve reoperation at 1 and 5 years was 96.3% and 93.2%, respectively. Conclusions. The present study shows good early and long-term results in higher-risk patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery for mitral valve infective endocarditis. Total body, vascular and echocardiographic screening represent the key points to select the optimal approach and allow the extension of indications for minimally invasive surgery to sicker patients, including active endocarditis and sepsis.

Histological evidence of active prosthetic valve endocarditis (PVE) in cardiac valve tissue is widely regarded as a criterion established by Duke to confirm the presence of this condition, although the histological characteristics of mechanical prosthetic valve endocarditis have not yet been definitively established. The primary objective of this study was to determine the histologic differences in mechanical PVE in individuals with either early- or late-onset PVE, with the aim of distinguishing the unique aspects of this rare condition. Histological analysis of mechanical cardiac valve tissue was conducted in 27 patients who underwent surgical valve removal, comprising individuals with early onset and late-onset PVE. The findings were compared between the two groups. Histopathologically, PVE in individuals with mechanical heart valves is typically associated with the formation of vegetation and considerable neutrophil-rich infiltrates. In cases of early onset PVE, the affected valve tissue displays intense inflammation predominantly consisting of lymphocytes. In contrast, valve tissue samples from patients with late-onset PVE exhibit extensive fibrosis and inflammation, comprising macrophages, which are specialized immune cells and calcifications.

Growing interest has accrued in the co-existence of cardiac amyloidosis and valvular heart disease. Amyloid infiltration from either transthyretin (ATTR) or light chain (AL) origin may affect any structure of the heart, including the valves. Recent literature has mainly focused on aortic stenosis and cardiac amyloidosis, improving our understanding of epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of this dual pathology. Even though of high clinical relevance, data on mitral/tricuspid regurgitation and cardiac amyloidosis is rather scarce and mostly limited to case reports and small cases series. It is the aim of this review article to summarize the current evidence of concomitant valvular heart disease and cardiac amyloidosis including epidemiology, diagnostic approaches, screening possibilities, therapeutic management, and prognostic implications.

Background: Mitral regurgitation (MR) is a common valvular disorder linked to high morbidity and mortality. For patients unsuitable for surgery, transcatheter mitral edge-to-edge repair (TEER) with the MitraClip® G4 system offers an alternative. This study aims to evaluate procedural, echocardiographic, functional, and quality of life (QoL) outcomes in patients who underwent TEER with the MitraClip® G4 system, along with possible predictors of New York Heart Associa-tion (NYHA) class I at 30 days and 1 year. Methods: Patients with moderate-to-severe (3+) or se-vere (4+) degenerative MR (DMR) or functional MR (FMR), classified as NYHA class III or IV, who underwent TEER with the MitraClip® G4 system at our center between January 2021 and De-cember 2023 were included. Results: A total of 83 patients [71% FMR, 66% male, median (IQR) age 70 (11) years] underwent TEER, with 100% procedural success. MR ≤2+ was achieved in 100% and 98% of patients at 30 days and 1 year, respectively. NYHA class I or II was achieved in 100% and 96.8% of patients at 30 days and 1 year, respectively. The Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Ques-tionnaire (KCCQ) score improved from 51±20 at baseline to 69±15 at 30 days (p< 0.001) and 70.5±15 at 1 year (p< 0.001). Lower baseline N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) pre-dicted achieving NYHA class I at 30 days (HR: 0.63, 95% CI: 0.41–0.95, p = 0.030), while lower Eu-ropean System for Cardiac Operative Risk Evaluation II (EuroSCORE II) and NT-proBNP pre-dicted it at 1 year [(HR: 0.50, 95% CI: 0.28–0.89, p = 0.019), (HR: 0.67, 95% CI: 0.44–0.99, p = 0.049), respectively]. Conclusions: The MitraClip® G4 system provides significant improvements in MR severity, functional class, and QoL. Lower NT-proBNP and EuroSCORE II were strong predictors of achieving optimal functional status (NYHA class I).

Background: Ultrasonography in medicine allows real time “dynamic” assessment of structure where the procedure takes place. This feature and design could be more advantageous than radiological “static” view imaging. Thus, it is the convincing imaging tool for many structural cardiovascular and gastrointestinal interventions. Technically, the image resolution for Endosonography (EUS) is noticeably higher than that of transesophageal echocardiography (TOE). The benefits of investigating the cardiovascular structures using this high-resolution endoscope are unknown. Clinical applications: We present clinical applications of incidentally diagnosed cardiovascular structures, which demonstrated during routine gastrointestinal endosonographic procedures. These diagnoses could influence changes in management strategies. Discussion: The introduction of high resolution endosonography (EUS) in cardiology allows "panoramic" and “dynamic” real-time assessment of cardiovascular structures with an accurate definition of the variable cardiovascular anatomy. Using this advantage during routine gastrointestinal procedures allows for the early detection of asymptomatic cardiac pathologies and accompanying diseases, prevents double investigations for patients and operators, eliminates the risk of esophageal trauma, highlights interdisciplinary teamwork benefits, and could facilitate in the future the indications for cardiac-based structural procedures, which could influence management strategies with improved safety, efficacy, and economic outcomes. Conclusion: The introduction of endosonography (EUS) in cardiology provide high-resolution real-time assessments of cardiovascular anatomy. Thus, it can be used for early detections of variable cardiovascular pathologies during routine gastrointestinal procedures.

miRNAs have recently attracted investigators' interest as regulators of valvular diseases pathogenesis, diagnostic biomarkers, and therapeutical targets. Evidence from in-vivo and in-vitro studies demonstrated stimulatory or inhibitory roles in mitral valve prolapse development, aortic leaflet fusion, and calcification pathways, specifically osteoblastic differentiation and transcription factors modulation. Tissue expression assessment and comparison between physiological and pathological phenotypes of different disease entities, including mitral valve prolapse and mitral chordae tendineae rupture, emerged as the best strategies to address miRNAs over or under-representation and thus, their impact on pathogeneses. In this review, we discuss the fundamental intra- and intercellular signals regulated by miRNAs leading to defects in mitral and aortic valves, congenital heart diseases, and the possible therapeutic strategies targeting them. These miRNAs inhibitors comprise of antisense oligonucleotides and sponge vectors. The miRNA mimics, miRNA expression vectors, and small molecules are instead possible practical strategies to increase specific miRNA activity. Advantages and technical limitations of these new drugs, including instability and complex pharmacokinetics, are also presented. Novel delivery strategies, such as nanoparticles and liposomes, are described to improve knowledge on future personalized treatment directions.

Cardiac dynamics are traditionally linked to a left ventricle, right ventricle and septum morphology, a topography that differs from the heart’s 5-century-old anatomic description of containing a helix and circumferential wrap architectural configuration. Torrent Guasp’s helical ventricular myocardial band (HVMB) defines this anatomy and its structure, explains why the heart’s 6 dynamic actions of narrowing, shortening, lengthening, widening, twisting and uncoiling happen. Background and Objectives: Fibrillinopathies have different phenotypic expression: Marfan- like skeleton features, MLSF; mitral valve prolapse syndrome, MVPS; MASS phenotype, M= mitral valve prolapse, MVP, A= aortic root dilation, S= skeletal features, and the second S= (cutaneous) striae; Marfan syndrome, MS. These are inherited connective tissue diseases, provoked by a mutation of the encoding gene for a protein(fibrillin 1, FBN1) which has major importance in the formation of elastic fibers.The study had the following main objectives: the correlation between disc displacement, DD( a major sign for temporomandibular joint dysfunction, TMD) on magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, and aortic Z score(a major sign for aortic root dilation) on echocardiography; the predictive value of DD towards aortic Z score. DD had 2 types of severity: DD with reduction(the mild type, DDwR) , and DD without reduction( the severe type, DDwoR). Materials and Methods: The type of fibrillinopathy was precised by clinical exam( systemic score), ophthalmic exam(for ectopia lentis), and echocardiography(aortic Z score, MVP). Medical treatment consisted in betablockers, BB(for patients with tachycardia), or angiotensin II receptor blockers, ARB. Surgical treatment was addressed to aortic root aneurysm, and severe MR. DD benefited by dental conservatory treatment, or surgical restoration.Results: DD- Z score had a powerful correlation in MASS(Rho= 0.787, p&lt; 0.01), and in MS patients(Rho=0.819, p&lt; 0.01). For the entire sample, both DDwR- Z score, and DDwoR- Z score had a moderate correlation(Rho= 0.469, and respectively 0.669). Muchmore, DD was an important predictor for Z score. DDwoR had a double power of prediction for Z score, comparative with DDwR(B coefficient= 1.661 for DDwR, and 3.281 for DDwoR). Conclusions: TMD had a powerful correlation with aortic root dilation, in MASS, and MS patients from the sample. Likewise, TMD was a major predictor for aortic root dilation, in the entire sample. We can utilize in clinical practice, an extracardiac finding, TMD, obtained by a non-invasive technique, MRI, for cardiac severity stratification of fibrillinopathies.

Background. Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) is a safe and effective treatment in symptomatic patients with mitral regurgitation (MR). We aimed to investigate the short-term impact of mitral TEER on left ventricular (LV) performance and identify echocardiographic prognostic indicators. Methods. Seventy-eight patients with severe MR (organic and functional etiologies) were included retrospectively. All patients had a baseline and short-term echocardi-ography after TEER and were followed up for the primary composite endpoint (heart failure hos-pitalization and cardiovascular death) over a median period of 13 months. Results. A significant decrease in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), all myocardial work indices (except global wasted work), and left atrial reservoir were observed after TEER. Additionally, there was an im-provement in the pulmonary artery systolic pressure and tricuspid annular plane systolic excur-sion/pulmonary artery systolic pressure (TAPSE/PASP) ratio. 34% of all patients presented the primary composite endpoint. A TAPSE/PASP ratio post-TEER < 0.47 (HR: 4.76, p-value = 0.039), and left atrial reservoir post-TEER < 9.0% (HR: 2.77, p-value = 0.047) were independently associ-ated with the primary endpoint. Conclusions. Echocardiography post-TEER reflects impairment in ventricular performance due to preload reduction and right ventricular to pulmonary artery coupling improvement. Short-term echocardiography after TEER identifies high-risk patients who could benefit from a close clinical follow-up.

Background: The manifestations, severity, and mortality of COVID-19 are considered to be associated with the changes in various hematological parameters and in immunity. Associations of immunoglobulin G antibodies against severe acute respiratory syndrome-linked coronavirus (IgG-SARS)-positive status with cardiac function and hematological and biochemical parameters in apparently health subjects are poorly understood. Methods: The present cross-sectional study included 307 healthy volunteers (24-69 years of age; 44.8±8.6 years; 80.4% men) and was initiated in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 episodes were confirmed by detection of IgG-SARS against SARS-CoV-2 S1 RBD to reveal 70 IgG-SARS-positive and 237 negative participants. Numerous ultrasound characteristics were assessed by echocardiography, and 15 hematological and biochemical parameters were assayed in the blood. Descriptive and comparative analysis was based on the IgG-SARS status of the participants. Results: The left ventricular mass index, mitral ratio of peak early to late diastolic filling velocity or flow velocity across the mitral valve, and deceleration time of early mitral inflow were decreased (P<0.05) in IgG-SARS-positive participants versus those in IgG-SARS-negative participants according to multivariate logistic regression analysis. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate and platelet count were slightly increased, and blood hemoglobin was decreased in IgG-SARS-positive participants compared with those in IgG-SARS-negative participants. Conclusions: LV filling, inflammation, blood coagulation, and hemoglobin appear to be influenced by COVID-19 infection in healthy participants. These observations contribute to the development of a population recovery strategy after the episodes of COVID-19.
