With the great development of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), travel time prediction has attracted the attentions of many researchers and a large number of prediction methods have been developed. However, as an unavoidable topic, the predictability of travel time series is the basic premise for travel time prediction has received less attention than the methodology. Based on the analysis of the complexity of travel time series, this paper defines travel time predictability to express the probability of correct travel time prediction and proposes an entropy-based method to measure the upper bound of travel time predictability. Multiscale entropy is employed to quantify the complexity of travel time series, and the relationships between entropy and the upper bound of travel time predictability are presented. Empirical studies are made with vehicle trajectory data in an express road section. The effectiveness of time scales, tolerance, and series length to entropy and travel time predictability are analysis, and some valuable suggestions about the accuracy of travel time predictability are discussed. Finally, the comparisons between travel time predictability and actual prediction results from two prediction models, ARIMA and BPNN, are conducted. Experimental results demonstrate the validity and reliability of the proposed travel time predictability.

The endometrium is an important part of the uterus. The human endometrium is a complex and dynamic tissue that goes through phases of growth and regression during any menstrual cycle. A thin endometrium might be relevant to a lower rate of implantation as well as a higher rate of miscarriage. Several treatments have been developed for thin endometrium, such as granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, stem cell therapy, acupuncture and physical therapy, among others. These approaches have been shown to have effects on the endometrium related to reducing the area of fibrosis, increasing the number of glands, promoting angiogenesis, increasing endometrial thickness, improving tissue structure, and increasing pregnancy rates. This review summarizes the key role of these treatments in repairing thin endometrium and improving clinical pregnancy rates

Ferroptosis is a recently identified iron-dependent programmed cell death with lipid peroxides accumulation and condensation and compaction of the mitochondria. Recent study indicated that ferroptosis played a pivotal role in ischemic cardiac injury with the mechanisms remained largely unknown. This study demonstrated that iron overload occurred in the ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) cardiac tissues, which initiated myocardial ferroptosis. The expression levels of mitochondrial inner membrane protein MPV17 were reduced when ferroptosis occurred in cardiomyocytes treated with high levels of iron or in the ischemic cardiac tissues. Overexpression of MPV17 delivered via adenovirus significantly reduced ferroptosis in both cardiomyocytes subject to high levels of iron and cardiac I/R tissues. Mitochondrial glutathione (mtGSH), crucial for reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging and mitochondrial homeostasis maintenance, was depleted during myocardial ferroptosis caused by iron overload. The mechanistic study showed that MPV17 could increase mtGSH levels through maintaining the protein homeostasis of SLC25A10, which was a mitochondrial inner-membrane glutathione transporter. The absence of MPV17 during iron overload resulted in the ubiquitination-dependent degradation of SLC25A10, leading to impaired mitochondrial glutathione import. Moreover, we found that MPV17 was the targeted gene of Nrf2, which played a pivotal role in preventing lipid peroxides accumulation and ferroptosis. The decreased expression levels of Nrf2 led to the inactivation of MPV17 during iron overload-induced myocardial ferroptosis. In summary, this study demonstrated the critical role of MPV17 in protecting cardiomyocytes from ferroptosis and elucidated the Nrf2-MPV17-SLC25A10/mtGSH signaling pathway in the regulation of myocardial ferroptosis.

Hypsizygus marmoreus has become one of the most popular edible mushrooms due to its high nu-tritional and economic value. Previous researchers found that Serratia odorifera could promote the growth of H. marmoreus by producing and secreting some of its inducers. However, the specific mechanism of action was still unclear. In this study, we found that exogenous addition of sterile fermentation filtrate (HZSO-1), quorum sensing (QS signaling molecules, 3-oxo-C6-HSL, cy-clo(Pro-Leu), and cyclo(Tyr-Leu) could significantly promote the growth of H. marmoreus, increase the number of clamp junctions, and the diameter of mycelium (P < 0.05). In addition, non-targeted metabolomic analysis has revealed that 706 metabolites were detected in the treated group. Of these, 307 metabolites were significantly different (P < 0.05). Compared with the control, 54 and 86 metabolites were significantly increased and decreased in the HZSO-1 group, respec-tively (P < 0.05). We speculated that the sterile fermentation filtrate of S. odorifera could mediate the carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism of H. marmoreus by influencing the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) to increase the energy supply for the growth and development of the mycelium. The above results will further reveal the growth-promoting mechanism of S. odorifera on H. mar-moreus.

Numerous studies have shown that quinolones residues in the foods exceeding the MRL is harmful to the human health. There are some limitations in the existing methods for the residues, so we developed a new limit test method (TLC-SERS) to rapidly determine following residues: enrofloxacin(A), ciprofloxacin (B), ofloxacin(C), fleroxacin(D), sparfloxacin(E), enoxacin(F), gatifloxacin(G) and nadifloxacin(H). The residues can be preliminarily separated by TLC. Labeling the tested compounds’ position on the thin layer plate by their relative Rf under 254nm ultraviolet, and an appropriate amount of nanometer silver solution should be added to the position. The silver on the plate should be irradiated with 532nm laser to obtain SERS of the compounds. The results showed a significant differences of the 8 quinolones’ SERS; the LOD of the H, A, D, E, C, G, F and B were orderly 9.0, 12.6, 8.0, 19.0, 8.0, 8.4, 9.0 and 12.6 ng/mL, and the RSD≤4.9% for SERS of each quinolones.The limit test results of the 20 samples was consistent with that determined by the UPLC–MS/MS. The above results indicate that the TLC-SERS is specific, sensitive, stable, and accurate, providing a new reference for the rapid limit test of harmful residues in foods.

Abstract: Female pelvic floor dysfunction (FPFD) is a series of conditions caused by the displacement or dysfunction of the patient's pelvic organs due to defects, injuries, and deterioration of the pelvic floor supportive structures, with stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse being the most common. The mechanism of pelvic floor dysfunction is complex and not yet fully understood, and is often related to one or more functional abnormalities of muscles, connective tissues, fascia, nerves and blood vessels. Specialized clinicians are often unable to cover the comprehensive medical professional information of various specialties such as gynecology and obstetrics, urology, anus and intestines, imaging, etc., and the systematic and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of the disease will be limited. The application of artificial intelligence concepts in the medical field not only improves the diagnostic efficiency of physicians, but also provides reference and basis for the development of comprehensive treatment programs. This article follows and draws on the diagnosis and treatment process of pelvic floor dysfunction recommended in various guidelines, incorporates physical therapy techniques into the conventional non-surgical treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, provides guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, and briefly introduces the clinical application and value of pelvic floor intelligent diagnosis and treatment in pelvic floor dysfunction.

Lirianthe delavayi has valuable ornamental and medicinal value, is an important economic tree, and has a long history of cultivation. As important regulatory molecules, miRNAs are involved in important physiological processes, such as the plant stress response, organ morphogenesis, hormone secretion, and signaling. In this study, based on miRNA sequencing analysis of wild and cultivated Lirianthe delavayi, we explored the differences in posttranscriptional regulation during the cultivation of Lirianthe delavayi from the aspect of miRNA molecular regulation. The results revealed the following: 1. A total of 365 miRNAs were sequenced and identified, and their first bases had obvious uracil (U) base preferences. Among them, 242 miRNAs were classified into 32 miRNA families; 2. Analysis of miRNA expression differences revealed that 39 miRNAs had significant expression differences between wild and cultivated populations; 3. Bioinformatics target gene prediction and target gene enrichment analysis of significantly differentially expressed miRNAs revealed that the target genes were significantly enriched in plant‒pathogen interactions, sphingolipid metabolism, defense responses, and ADP binding. 4. The plant‒pathogen interaction pathway involves seven differentially expressed miRNAs and 30 miRNA‒target gene regulatory pairs, which are involved mainly in pathogen signature molecule recognition and binding, signal transduction, and the regulation of disease resistance molecules or gene expression; Ath-MIR169g-p3_2ss7AG19GA, ath-MIR169g-p5_2ss7AG19GA, and ath-miR408-3p_L-3 are expressed only in wild population, and it is hypothesized that the domestication process from wild to cultivation species may be accompanied by the loss of disease resistance-related miRNAs. This study provides a reference for exploring the posttranscriptional-level regulatory mechanisms of adaptive changes in Lirianthe delavayi from wild to cultivated.

This paper presents an optimized energy management strategy for Li-ion power batteries used on electric vehicles (EVs) at low temperatures. Under low-temperature environments, EVs suffer a sharp driving range loss resulted from the energy and power capability reduction of the battery. Simultaneously, because of Li plating, battery degradation becomes an increasing concern as temperature drops. All these factors could greatly increase the total vehicle operation cost. Prior to battery charging and vehicle operating, preheating battery to a battery-friendly temperature is an approach to promote energy utilization and reduce total cost. Based on the proposed LiFePO4 battery model, the total vehicle operation cost under certain driving cycles is quantified in the present paper. Then given a certain ambient temperature, a target temperature of preheating is optimized under the principle of minimizing total cost. As for the preheating method, a liquid heating system is also implemented on an electric bus. Simulation results show that the preheating process becomes increasingly necessary with a decreasing ambient temperature; however, the preheating demand declines as driving range grows. Vehicle tests verify that the preheating management strategy proposed in this paper is able to save total vehicle operation cost.
