Loss of photoreceptors in retinal degenerative diseases also impacts the inner retina: bipolar cell dendrites retract, neurons rewire and protein expression changes. ON-bipolar cells represent an attractive target for optogenetic vision restoration. However, above-described maladaptations may negatively impact the quality of restored vision. To investigate this question, we employed human post-mortem retinas and transgenic rd1_Opto-mGluR6 mice expressing the optogenetic construct Opto-mGluR6 in ON-bipolar cells and carrying the retinal degeneration rd1 mutation. We found significant changes in delayed rectifier potassium channel expression in ON-bipolar cells of degenerative retinas. In particular, we found an increase in Kv1.3 expression already in early stages of degeneration. Immunohistochemistry localized Kv1.3 channels specifically to OBC axons. In whole-cell patch-clamp experiments, ON-bipolar cells in the degenerated murine retina were less responsive, which could be reversed by application of the specific Kv1.3 antagonist Psora-4. Notably, Kv1.3 block significantly increased the amplitude and kinetics of Opto-mGluR6-mediated light responses in ON-bipolar cells of the blind retina and increased the signal-to-noise ratio of light-triggered responses in retinal ganglion cells. We propose that reduction of Kv1.3 activity in the degenerated retina, either by pharmacological block or by KCNA3 gene silencing, could improve the quality of restored vision.

To improve the adaptability of aerial reflective opto-mechanical structures to low-temperature environments, an optimized thermal control design is proposed. Firstly, the relationship be-tween conventional heating methods and axial/radial temperature differences of mirrors with different shapes is analyzed. Based on heat transfer analyses, it is pointed out that optimized thermal control design is necessary to ensure the temperature uniformity of the fused silica mirror and take into account the temperature level when working in low temperature environ-ments. A thermal control scheme based on temperature negative feedback variable power zone heating is proposed for the characteristics of aerial electro-optics systems. Using the thermal control scheme at low temperatures ensures that the average temperature of the mirror fluctu-ates slowly and slightly around 20℃. At the same time, the temperature differences within a mirror and between the primary mirror and the secondary mirror can be controlled within 5℃. Thereby, satisfactory image quality is obtained.

In this paper, a relatively new hyper convolution spectra for characterization liquid, viscoelastic and solid samples is presented. Special attention is paid to the biophysical characterization of epithelial tissues and early detection of cancer of the skin, cervix, colon, and oral cavity. The method is based on the use of two types of white light, diffuse and polarized, from the same LED light sources. Based on the subtraction of the intensity values of these two lights and using the hyper convolution algorithm, the ratio of paired and unpaired electrons of tissue is obtained. This ratio correlates well with the state of the tissue: normal, irritating, precancerous, and cancerous. First, a proof-of-concept studies were performed, and later clinical studies on samples from one thousand two hundred fifteen people were performed. It showed that hyper Opto-Magnetic Imaging Spectroscopy (OMIS) can detect epithelial tissue cancers with an accuracy of 85-96%. Bearing in mind that the OMIS method also acquires the biophysical characteristics of the deeper skin layers (epidermis, basement membrane, dermis) by analysing convolution spectra of RGB channels of both diffuse and polarized white light, it is possible to apply this method in cosmetics (skin hydration, collagen, and elastin states, etc.). During OMIS applications, we noticed places where improvements could be made to increase method’s accuracy using advanced machine learning methodologies.

Sensors became integrated through the control condition arrangement, either for visual, mechanical, biological, or chemical applications. New stuff is designed for detection, as Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMS), and are considered attractive candidates that consist of a traditional 111- V, II-VI, or group IV semiconductor. Manganese Mn-doped GaN (Mn.Gac.N) epitaxial velum has a unique magnetic, visual and chemical properties in order to control system intelligent for detector design. The subject area of the magnetic properties of MnxGal-xN is on a large scale available, there are only a few studies on the visual properties and electrochemical properties of MnxGal-xN epitaxial velums. Where MnGaN velums were used in spintronic and opto-electronic applications according to their magnetic characterization and constructed MnGaN electrode are drop fabric potential for potentiometric sensor applications since they have good performance as ion-selective electrodes. The electrical and magnetic properties that allow the control of electron spin as well as complaint period, makes the materials ideal for spintronic applications. Designing such spintronic and optoelectronic devices based on MnxGal-xN requires a broader agreement of physical, visual, electrical and chemical properties epitaxial velums that are still seldom in the literature. This bailiwick displays the potential use of MnGaN semiconductor as an all solid-state potentiometric sensor for measuring anions in solutions in the control engineering field.

In this paper, the performance of Cu-(In,Ga)-S2 (CIGS2) solar cells with adjusting composite CGI-ratio absorber is explored and compared through an improved three-stage co-evaporation technique. For co-evaporating CIGS2 absorber as a less toxic alternative to Cd-containing film, we analyse the effect of the CGI-ratio stoichiometry and crystallinity, and explore its opto-electric sensing characteristic of individual solar cell. The results of this research signify the potential of high-performance CIGS2-absorption solar cells for photovoltaic (PV)-module industrial applications. For the optimal CIGS2-absorption film (CGI=0.95), the Raman main-phase signal (A1) falls at 291 cm-1, which is excited by the 532-nm line of Ar+-laser. Using photo-luminescence (PL) spectroscopy, the corresponding main-peak bandgaps measured is 1.59 eV at the same CGI-ratio film. Meanwhile, the best conversion efficiency (=3.212%) and the average external quantum efficiency (EQE=51.1% in the visible-wavelength region) of photo-electric properties were achieved for the developed CIGS2-solar cells (CGI=0.95). The discoveries of this CIGS2-absorption PV research provide a new scientific understanding of solar cells. Moreover, this research undeniably contributes to a major advancement towards practical PV-module applications and can help more to build an eco-friendly community.
