The design of water Vessel fender system can minimize impact energy, which could result in severe vessel or offshore structure damage during collision. In order to protect Offshore structures and vessels from damage after impact, a Fender design approach is proposed which uses Soft materials like rubber, sand, inflated rubber tube, etc. to reduce damage on impacted vessels as well as offshore structures like wind turbines, bridges, oil drilling platforms in water etc. The fender is designed in such a way that it can handle vessels made of different material, sizes, and weights.The proposed solution is a fender consisting of a number of layers of soft sandwich materials, each layer getting softer as it moves away from the structure i.e. Hard-Soft fender design which can absorb impact energy upon collision. To handle lighter vessels made of soft or brittle materials, the outer layer is made of inflatable or Very soft foam rubber; however, the inner layer covering the offshore structure is made of hard material to handle heavy vessels made of hard material such as steel. Furthermore, the use of sand as a natural fender along waterways such as narrow channels is also proposed to reduce the cost of fender installation and catastrophic vessel impact damage on rocky ground since it produces less deformation just like rubber fender as demonstrated in the simulation. Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS software, Explicit Dynamic Autodyn, was performed. The results showed a considerable decrease in the total deformation and internal energy of the vessel and fended structure when collision occurs. Furthermore, the result showed that Hard-Soft fender layer performs much better than Soft-Hard-Soft followed by Soft-Hard Fender layer design.

Due to advancement in hacking/reverse engineering tools, threat against transfer of sensitive data or highly classified information is always at risk of being intercepted by an attacker. Covert communication outwit this malicious breach of privacy act better than cryptography as it camouflage secret information inside another innocent looking information, while cryptography shows scrambled information that might arouse attention of an attacker. However, the challenges in Steganography are the modification of carrier that causes some abnormalities, which is detectable and often the methods are not optimize. This paper presents an approach in Covert communication Chanel, which utilizes mathematical concept of combination to optimize time of transmission using sets of multiple transmitter’s, and receiver’s addresses where each abstractly represents a set of bits or characters combination without modifying the address. To minimize the number of physical address to be use, a combinatorial and permutation concept of virtual address generation from physical address is introduce. The paper in addition presents some technique like relationship and their application in both re-enforcing resistivity against Steganalysis and generating combinations. Furthermore, a concept of dynamical clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation of combination over addresses after every transmission is introduce to further improve on resistivity against Steganalysis. A simple test was performed for demonstrating relay address, combination and permutation concepts. Based on test results and analysis, the method is effective as expected and it is quite easy to use as it can be implemented in different platform without much difficulties.

Multi-objective optimization (MOO) is an optimization involving minimization of several objective functions more than the conventional one objective optimization which have useful applications in Engineering. Many of the current methodologies addresses challenges and solutions to multi-objective optimization problem, which attempts to solve simultaneously several objectives with multiple constraints, subjoined to each objective. Most challenges in MOO are generally subjected to linear inequality constraints that prevent all objectives from being optimized simultaneously. This paper takes short survey and deep analysis of Random and Uniform Entry-Exit time of objectives. It then breaks down process into sub-process and then presents some new concepts by introducing methods in solving problem in MOO, which comes due to periodical objectives that do not stay for the entire duration of process lifetime unlike permanent objectives, which are optimized once for the entire process lifetime. A methodology based on partial optimization that optimizes each objective iteratively and weight convergence method that optimizes sub-group of objectives is given. Furthermore, another method is introduced which involve objective classification, ranking, estimation and prediction where objectives are classified base on their properties, and ranked using a given criteria and in addition estimated for an optimal weight point (pareto optimal point) if it certifies a coveted optimal weight point. Then finally predicted to find how much it deviates from the estimated optimal weight point. Although this paper presents concepts work only, it’s practical application are beyond the scope of this paper, however base on analysis presented, the concept is worthy of igniting further research and application.
