The treasury of a DAO is purported to uphold the value of the DAO-issued token, and this study represents a pioneering effort to delve into these realms. We explore the relationship between the treasury and market capitalization in two DAO projects, namely Olympus DAO and KlimaDAO. Employing Granger Causality tests, we scrutinize the relationship between market capitalization and the treasuries of these DAOs. Furthermore, we use an EGARCH model to investigate the in-fluence of carbon offset tokens on KlimaDAO’s market capitalization, incorporating this variable into the model's conditional mean equation. The findings reveal a significant relationship between market capitalization and the treasuries of the DAOs, indicating a potential impact of market capitalization on treasuries. Additionally, the well-specified EGARCH model highlights the sig-nificance of carbon offset tokens, suggesting their potential to influence the overall market capi-talization of a DAO project and support its value.

This study delves into the integration of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) within metaverses, probing its implications and potential. It elucidates DeFi protocols and the intricacies of metaverses before inspecting their intersection and the resulting economic prospects. The analysis further appraises inherent risks such as financial volatility, security, and regulatory issues. Case studies provide tangible insights into DeFi applications in metaverses. Future trajectories of DeFi in metaverses are projected, underlining the possible impact on the broader financial sector. This paper contributes to burgeoning research at the nexus of blockchain technology, finance, and virtual reality.

Liquidity providers for asset-pair pools with constant value distri- bution, such as Balancer pools, experience some impermanent loss whenever there is price divergence in the tokens’ fiat values. In this paper, we model this impermanent loss for geometric mean invariant pools by deriving a function of two parameters. We analyze our function graphically, showing that unevenly distributed pools with large weighting disparities best mitigate the risk of impermanent loss. We conclude by providing a general protocol for liquidity providers to choose a suitable pool based on their risk tolerance and profit goals.

While immutability is Blockchain's* much celebrated covenant, change is the rule of life. The paradox has seriously limited real-world deployability of Smart Contracts (SC), faltering its mainstream adoption and sustainability. Once implemented, SC remains unstoppable even if its execution makes losses, as evident in the recently exploded $50+B DeFi industry. How do we reconcile the two and make DeFI/Blockchain profitable and sustainable? A DISC (Dynamic Immutable Smart Contract) hypothesis was proposed to resolve the paradox. Using an existing decentralized IoT device framework we test the DISC hypothesis, by designing/implementing a DISC protocol that delivers an algorithmically controlled dynamic off-chain data feed into a self-executing SC. The experiment successfully introduced limited dynamism into SC without compromising its immutability or undermining user control over their SC terms. If consistently reproduced in diverse settings, the DISC protocol could earn an important milestone in the evolution of Blockchain's decentralized economy of the future.

It emphasizes the potential for transformation and the obstacles it faces. The study identified legal ambiguity, difficulties in achieving scale, and constraints related to compliance as primary concerns for policymakers. The fundamental discoveries encompass the pivotal function of blockchain technology in facilitating DeFi platforms, the tangible implementations of DeFi in lending, borrowing, and trading, and the necessity for clear regulations and global cooperation. The policy implications encompass the significance of maintaining a balance between innovation and compliance, promoting international collaboration, and prioritizing consumer protection measures. In summary, this study enhances our comprehension of the emergence of DeFi and its consequences for conventional finance. It offers valuable insights for policymakers, industry participants, and scholars in effectively navigating the changing realm of decentralized finance.

This paper contextualises the common queries of "why is crypto crashing?" and "why is crypto down?", the research transcends beyond the frequent market fluctuations to unravel how cryptocurrencies fundamentally work and the step-by-step process on how to create a cryptocurrency. The study examines blockchain technologies and their pivotal role in the evolving Metaverse, shedding light on topics such as how to invest in cryptocurrency, the mechanics behind crypto mining, and strategies to effectively buy and trade cryptocurrencies. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the research transitions from the fundamental principles of fintech investment strategies to the overarching implications of blockchain within the Metaverse. Alongside exploring machine learning potentials in financial sectors and risk assessment methodologies, the study critically assesses whether developed or developing nations are poised to reap greater benefits from these technologies. Moreover, it probes into both enduring and dubious crypto projects, drawing a distinct line between genuine blockchain applications and Ponzi-like schemes. The conclusion resolutely affirms the continuing dominance of blockchain technologies, underlined by a profound exploration of their intrinsic value and a reflective commentary by the author on the potential risks confronting individual investors.
