There are three tar files containing the different AMV data,
the scripts to intercompare the AMVs with other data centres,
ERA-INTERIM model reanalysis grids, and the RAOB observations:
   * amv_dataset.tar.gz: Text files of AMVs
   * amv_scripts.tar: bash, MATLAB, and Python scripts
   * raob.tar.gz: Text file of RAOB observations

All files are needed and should be extracted in the same directory.
Each tar file has a README file with information on the contents
of the tar file and documentation of the scripts.
Also, there is information on the versions of MATLAB and Python,
which were used to run the scripts.

The ECMWF ERA-INTERIM reanalysis grids used in the paper cannot be
provided due to the restrictions of the "ERA-INTERIM Licence".
However, they can be obtained (after ECMWF login) from:
   * "ERA-Interim reanalysis dataset, Copernicus Climate Change Service":
     https://www.ecmwf.int/en/forecasts/datasets/archive-
        datasets/reanalysis-datasets/era-interim
     (accessed 30 July 2019).
   * For the intercomparison with AMVs, ERA-INTERIM reanalysis data
for 21 July 2016, every six hours (00,06,12,18), for all 37 levels,
for six variables (z,t,r,o3,u,v), have been used.
   * The ERA-INTERIM data are to be stored in an only grib file in the
same working directory, with the name "ECM_EI_AN_20160721_PL.grb".
   * The grib file has to include all moments, levels, and variables
mentioned previously, so that all processes work correctly.
